YES!!!
I have to have this stuff at my old age and severe arthritis as I wait to have surgery on left hip and knee and ankle and foot. The best part of this and I have tried many brands -it is a plastic tube not a metal one where you cant get the gel all out and it cracks and leaks etc.. Its rather costly so I am so glad for the soft plastic tube. It smells ok and dissipates in a few minutes. I also take the pills. I hurt so bad.

not as thick, PLASTIC tube!
I wasn’t able to buy the usual brand of this gel that comes in a metal tube so I got this. It seems thinner than the other generic and I’m concerned about being able to get it all out of the tube as I find plastic tubes notorious for cheating you out of the last bit. BUT since this is thinner, I might be able to get it all out by standing it on its head as it gets near the bottom. I’m going to get the Home Care Aisle again next time.

I’m a believer
Honestly, this is the first time that I’ve ever bought any type of arthritis cream or anything like that. I was a little dismayed because I saw that you had to use it consecutively for about seven days four times a day for arthritis relief. I don’t know if that’s the standard, but that definitely is not my case. I put this on, and within 30 minutes my pain is gone. I honestly did not have a lot of expectations but now I literally make sure that this cream is in at least three rooms of the house in case I need it. Honestly, it’s provided the best pain relief for my body then I’ve gotten in a long time. Will definitely buy more.

Bad side affect
I like that the product appears to help with pain in my back and shoulder areas. It comes in a large tube and will last a long time. However, upon applying it, I began to experience stomach pain and discomfort. I continued to use it not realizing the pain was related to the product. Upon further research, I discovered this was a side effect of this medication. I now sparingly use it not more than 1X week. Use it with caution.

Excellent! Same exact results as name brand Voltaren but less $$
Don’t spend more for brand names. I’ve tried a few and this is the best. Amazon Basics is also more favorable because it not only arrives in a pliable plastic tube instead of metal, but it works like a charm. The smell is not strong and it goes away/seeps into your skin with out feeling greasy, I use it 3x day on my arthritic feet and really rub it in. Great for muscular pain, too. I was lucky enough to stock up recently when Amazon was offering 20% of flash sale! Spend less $$$ and it’s better and cheaper than Wal-Mart, too.

Best price I’ve found
By far the best price I’ve found anywhere! As good as the “name” brands. Some reviews note that the smell is a bit off-putting. I disagree and find it to be as pleasant as any other brands. I took off one star because it doesn’t dry as quickly as some I’ve tried. With that said, the drying time is about 5 minutes, depending on how much you apply and whether or not you have a fan blowing on the area. This will be my go-to product because of the price…all other things considered.

Great product
We trust Amazon Basic Care products, so we have a lot of them in our home. This is one example.My husband was told by his internist last week, that he should be using an arthritis topical gel to help reduce pain in his hands. He is a golfer, and is 75 and swinging the club increases the pain..So we purchased this Amazon Basic Care arthritis topical gel. It is a 5.29 oz tube, and has a nice smell. It spreads easily and absorbed quickly. You are supposed to leave it on for a hour and then wash your hands on the area where you spread the gel. The directions mention it takes up to a week to feel any relief, so we have our fingers crossed.I will update this review in a week or two.Recommended.

I bought a similar product at Walgreens and no matter how much I shook it, it smelled of alcohol when applied. This is so much better, doesn’t smell like alcohol, easy to apply. I will stick with this product. Recommended.

Works but the scent. YUCK!!
My orthopedic doctor recommended this for my arthritis in my toe. I followed the directions in the box using 4 times daily and did indeed get great relief. However, the scent is awful causing immediate headache and a sore throat. I looked online and there were complaints about the smell in some brands. A friend of mine bought the name brand which I borrowed. Very light citrus type scent. If you have allergies or are sensitive to perfumes I would suggest getting the name brand product. Value for the money I gave 2 stars because I had to throw it out I found no-one that could stand the scent.

It did not help with pain in my toes. Too many restrictions on where it can be used. No instructions on how to use it, like should I keep massaging till it is totally absorbed? Did not bring the relief to very minor pain either in my fingers or toes or wrists.

Get this if you’re in pain!
I have severe psoriatic arthritis and nothing was working for my pain, especially for my knees that have severe cartilage loss. When my doctor put me on a blood thinner and I couldn’t take nsaids by mouth anymore, she recommended the name brand, but decided to try this and save money. I didn’t have much hope because of how severe my pain is and nothing works anymore. Especially because most things for arthritis only works for osteoarthritis and not autoimmune. I had pain relief within minutes!!! Already adding it to my subscribe and save (doc did direct me to use it for longer term, especially for the high pain days, so check with your doctor if you are gonna use it more than 21 days in a row). If you live with arthritis pain (even autoimmune induced) I’d give this a try! Worth it!

HEAVILY scented, and ridiculous, impossible dosing schedule and application criteria CAUTION
I review most of the products I buy and make a point of using them for a month or so before writing a review. And I rarely buy something that I would rate below 4 stars.This product was recommended to me by my PT. She said she’s found that it works for some people and not others. I believe the reason it may not work lie in my critique. My guess is that she has no idea of the dosing schedule as well.First I have no idea if this product would eventually help me physically because of the issues with its use.1-Smell: It is heavily scented and it does not fade. I used on my ankle and it never faded and I only applied once! Very intrusive.2-Dosing schedule: 4 times a day. But not only 4 times a day, very specific criteria and circumstances surrounding application. Have you ever taken an antibiotic 4 X day? I used to prescribe, and the odds of someone using a medication properly and consistently 4 times a day are slim.I am great at schedules and routines, but this is ridiculous.3- Combining 1 & 2: I cannot imagine applying this smelly gel 4 X a day to a wrist let’s say. Awful.4- If it is going to work and you’ve kept up on your 4 X day dosing, you will not see result (if it happens) for 7 days!!!I don’t know if the original non generic Voltaren is as smelly but surely has same dosing.I would usually try to pass this along to someone who might benefit because I’ve used it once and I do not like to be wasteful. However, in this case it does not even warrant a spot in the back of my linen closet for another attempt nor would I recommend this to a friend. It’s going in the bin.I should have been more careful when reading about the dosing schedule. I sort of thought that was the suggested “up to 4 times a day” sort of thing.In summary, I cannot imagine the benefit of this drug is worth the trouble.

Pain relief to hands and Joints
So as always. It seems that things with brands are pricey. Like Tiger Balm or Pepto Bizzmo. Or Dodge and Toyota. Just think things like that are selling more of a brand over product or item.This stuff has been very helpful and does the job well. More than satisfied because my 73 year old mother isn’t complaining about pain anymore. Are you sensing the point here? It’s good when mom is happy and content.Plan to get it again and would recommend trying it for it’s price range. It beats name brands all day long. Because we’ve tried those also.So get it and hopefully, you to will be feeling better in the pain department. Anyhow, wishing everyone happy times and good luck. See you next time.

I could not walk without it twice a day.In advance of or after, or both, particularly active or strenuous days, I use this gel at bedtime and, it works, it really makes a noticeable difference.

Didn’t work for me
Was recommended by my podiatrist for heel pain, but didn’t have any effect on me. Some painkillers do not work on me so this was a gamble. I did find it to be more like a lotion in consistency than an ointment, kinda thin, so perhaps that is part of the issue?

The smell is overwhelming
I decided to try this as opposed to Voltarin because of the price. Being on a fixed income I’m always looking for a way to save money. Unfortunately this was a mistake. The smell is overwhelming! There is nothing in the description about fragrance. It is almost floral. My colleague at work made a comment about the smell. I tried putting some tissue over the application on my skin but that didn’t help. I couldn’t get the smell off of my hand. Argh. They need to disclose this!!! On a positive note it does help with pain but I’m going back to Voltarin.

Product a new OTC release of Prescription med
Having used the prescription version for years paying $95 (my insurance copay), with the full cost of two tubes costing my insurance a bundle, I was thrilled to find the Over The Counter for an affordable price. However, the Px product was very thick and came with a useage warning And a diagram of a day’s squeeze of product—about 1”. It’s hard on your kidneys!The Over The Counter Diclofenac Sodium Topical Gel, 1% is much thinner so you can easily squeeze out a lot. I truly don’t know if the scientific research has found that more per day is ok, and I have not done my due diligence. Even worse, I can’t find the box with the fine print disclosures that I saved for a Read This Day! The gel (Px one) helped me a lot along with Acetomenophen, but I’d certainly ask your pharmacist and read the box disclosures.

Works well and tube is big
You get a lot of bang for your buck. It works quite well to take the edge down on my knee pain makijg it easier to walk etc. … I find that if you use everyday it kind of stops working so I perfer to use it just on days I know there will be a ton of walking, but maybe that’s just me.
