Difficult to open foil packaging
The only reason I am taking the time to write a review is because of the time it takes to open up the foil packaging. The little corner pull tab is EXTREMELY difficult to get started. So my comment is not about the product, which seems to work fine, it is fussing around trying to get it opened

Contains Sucralose!
I moved from capsules to the disintegrating tablets as I figured having to swallow one less pill would be wonderful. Sadly, slowly but surely my reflux got worse and worse over the course of a few days after making the switch. Eventually I realized it’s the sucralose used to sweeten the tablets! If you are super sensitive like I am, STAY FAR AWAY.

Ridiculously difficult to remove pill from foil
These tablets break apart pretty easy, which is nice in your mouth, but about 30% of them fell apart when I was trying to remove them from the bubble pouch/foil. No offense the older folks, but I’m a younger guy, and this is never been a problem with other items.Very disappointed.

Very hard to get pills out of the foil covering
I am very disappointed because these pills are packaged in plastic with a bubble for each pill. The foil that covers them has marking showing that you can peel a corner to open each, but almost impossible to get the corner to begin peeling off. Took a long time to open a couple weeks of these to put in my weekly pill containers with my other pills.

Good at reducing acid in stomach. Melt in mouth tabs are a nice plus, mild flavor, priced well & easy to pack individually packaged tabs in purse/bag. Only small con is they can be a little difficult to remove from the individualized packaging. Will be buying again.

Great price and easy to obtain!The generic versions of Prevacid (lansoprazole) have been difficult to find in large chain retail stores without paying for the brand name product. The generics are often out of stock. And as a 30 plus yr RN, I have found that paying for brand names on most medication is a Huge waste of money. Most generics work the same and some are even produced in the she locations as the name brand.

No more acid reflux!
Switched to these after the whole ranitidine fiasco and they worked from the first day! One a day and zero acid reflux. Should have switched years ago! These are quick dissolve tablets with no gelatin so good for vegans/vegetarians. They’re likely not 100% vegan but as close as you can get with any medication.

Have been using this product for about a year and have no complaints. I don’t feel like I need to wait half an hour before eating when taking this chewable version. It does its job right away. If you’re a long-time taker of acid reducing meds, this one’s for you. I can even skip a day without taking one. Hasn’t disappointed me yet!

Strawberry Flavor Taste Good
My husband has a lot of problems with heartburn and was happy to try out the Basic Care Lansoprazole Delayed Release Orally Disintegrating Tablets. Directions read that you take one tablet a day for fourteen days. The box I received had 3 individual boxes each packaged for the 14 day treatment. The tablet easily melted in my husband’s mouth and the strawberry flavor tasted good . It took a few days to kick totally in but each day he says that he has less and less problems with his frequent heartburn. Hopefully by day fourteen the heartburn will have disappeared.

These tablets work just as well as Prevacid. My GERD gets really bad when I get a cold, so I keep this on hand to use during those times. I generally use Pepcid for day-to-day issues. I used to use Prilosec and Nexium, but opted to try to use something not as strong due to the fact that I take something daily … risk versus reward.

Melts Quickly, Taste Ok & Works For Severe Indigestion.
These Basic Care lansoprazole disintegrating tablets are much cheaper than the name brand tablets you find in the drug store and work just as well for both constantly recurring heartburn and occasional relief. My husband has stomach troubles and lives on the Chewable tablets that start with a T but I got him to try these instead and he felt better and didn’t need anything else the rest of the day, which is huge for him. These say they are a 14 day treatment and to take one everyday or every other day for 14 days and then repeat if necessary. My husband hates taking anything but these are working for him so he’s sticking with them.

Love The Large Pack – Let Them Melt
Because these are delayed release tablets you need to let them melt in your mouth and not chew them. You can always swallow them as well. Lansoprazole is my favorite PPI. I feel like they work just as well as all the others but I don’t have as many side effects with them. I’ve taken it for many years and don’t need it as much as I used to but when I start to have reflux, I pull it out and use it for a while. My husband takes them regularly. This really is an excellent pill for reflux which can be so damaging to the esophagus. Good product.

Actually works!
I didn’t think I needed a daily treatment for acid reflux, but realized that over the last few months my use of famotidine & antacid tablets has been waaaaay too often. It doesn’t even seem diet-related anymore, it just happens a lot. Have not been diagnosed with anything specific though.I had never even heard of a product like this, but it’s working great!! As it says, it takes a few days before it starts working, I still needed my famotidine/antacid combo for the first day or two. After that, the only problem is that it works a little too well! When I don’t have any heartburn, I forget to take something for it! When I do remember to take it, I don’t have any heartburn at all. But if I miss a day or two, I was pleasantly surprised that I didn’t have to start over with a 4-day pill regimen before it started working again – started right back up, without having to take famotidine as a backup.I’m sure there’s a name brand out there somewhere, but I can’t imagine it working any better than this!

Good For Heartburn
42 strawberry flavored tablets that come on sheets- you get 8 per sheet. Tablets are a good size, fairly small- (a little bit bigger than your typical pill) and can melt right in your mouth and dissolve. Flavor is great- they’re tasty and dissolve nicely. Require no water. They’re delayed release and work over the course of 24 hours. Inside the box there’s three 14 day courses of sheets inside. May take 1-4 days for full effect. It’s recommended you take them for 14 days, once a day, before eating in the morning. Contain Lansoprazole. Overall, easy to eat and a good choice for reducing acid or preventing heartburn.

Okay so first off I’d like to say that this product does work and helps but it’s delayed. I have never seen a product that is so delayed like this one is. It doesn’t start to help until like a day later ? Like why? But it’s still good if you have long term acidic issues that last days.

Costs less but works the same
These are a much less expensive version of Prevacid 24. Take just one tablet a day and you can either swallow it or let it melt in your mouth. It has a mild strawberry flavor so letting it dissolve isn’t unpleasant. This is for those that suffer chronic heartburn for at least two days a week and not for immediate relief. These are so much easier than chewing a few tablets every few hours. You just take one a day for up to fourteen days in a row but usually you see results in two to three days. Don’t chew them, drink alcohol or exceed the fourteen day limit. They come in three bottles of fourteen each so you’re reminded to stop after the fourteen days.

Effective generic.
I have chronic heartburn/indigestion and have long used Lansoprazole to control it. This product is equivalent to the brand name Prevacid and works the same way. Firstly, I have been using this product for five days instead of what I buy at my local drug store and the change has not resulted in any negative effects. It has controlled my heartburn/indigestion just as well as the drugstore product.In this case, this product is advertised as dissolving in your mouth. It states that it will dissolve in fifteen seconds. I have found this to be true – more or less. The only thing I don’t like is that you can still feel gritty particles in your mouth after it dissolves so I have some water with it to make sure everything is washed down. Kind of defeats the purpose, so I’m not sure of the utility of the gimmick.Nonetheless, this product works as well as any generic lansoprazole so a lot of the decision will be price or coupons/specials.
