How do you open them?!?!?
It says tear at the notch (see the tear in my fingernail from tearing at the notch?!) but it doesn’t get the pills out. You have to tear through thick paper and plastic. Yup By the time I get the pills out I’m so worked up that even three of those pills aren’t going to help me sleep! By the way, they do help me sleep..when I can get to them.

It works
Menopausal insomnia is no fun. I decided to give these sleep aid capsules a try. They work. I had my first decent sleep in months. My only con would be that I felt tired for 4-6 hours the following day. After that I was fine and functional .

Only place I can find these in softgels
I found similar tablets at a big box store but I needed them in a softgel, amazon is the only place that has them. They are in the foil packets, wish they just came in a bottle. Otherwise they are great. Smaller pills so they are easy to swallow, a little larger than a grain of basmati rice.

These slipping pills work for me
Originally I purchased these on Fresh. At the time I paid $7.99 (I think). Suddently they stopped carrying them on Fresh but sell them on Amazon Prime for at least $4 to $5 more for the same amount. I’ve had chronic sleeping problems for years. These work for me better than Sominex, Unisom or your well known name brands.

Sleep like a log
I only take these when I know I’ve got 8 solid hours available to sleep. They don’t seem to really make me drowsy, but once I’ve fallen asleep I am out. If I have to get up before 8 hours of sleeping, I’m really groggy and coffee just doesn’t help. These work as well as other name brand of the same ingredients, but are priced better. They definitely work!

Helps me sleep without being drowsy the next day
These knocked me out and I got a good night’s sleep but I could still function the next morning and wasn’t groggy after I got up and started my day. During the night I got up once to go to the bathroom and could feel the effect of them and was able to go right back to sleep. In the morning I got up a little slower than usual then washed my face with cold water and was good to go. Any drowsiness was gone shortly after.

Works exactly the same as zzzquil
Years ago I used to feel like the only time I could ever get a good night’s sleep was if I was sick when I got to take Nyquil… when Zzzquil came out I was so happy because it’s got the stuff in it that makes you sleepy without the pain killers and all the other stuff that’s in Nyquil. These softgels from Amazon Basics are basically identical to Zzzquil. Same active ingredient, same dose, etc. This stuff will knock you out and let you sleep through the night. I wake up a little groggy after taking this (and Zzzquil) but it tends to pass quickly once I get out of bed. Feeling refreshed is a great feeling and this helps get there. I personally prefer the liquid form better (for some reason I feel like it makes me sleepy faster, or maybe I just like the taste of it…) but these are easy to swallow and do the trick as well.

These pills contain 25 mg of Diphenhydramine HCl. Diphenhydramine HCl 25 mg is the exact same medicine as Benadryl and is typically used as an antihistamine. Benadryl is notorious for causing drowsiness. I have been taking this ingredient for years anytime I experience allergies or sleeplessness because it works so well for me.These are softgels and easy to take. The softgels come in packets in doubles so you it giving you two softgels as a dosage. I personally only need to take one softgel.⛵⚓Seas the Day⚓⛵

Exactly like Zzzquill. Great when used sporadically
If you are familiar with Zzzquill this is the same with essentially the same ingredients but a generic version. If not, this will work for those that need the occasional good night sleep and rarely take sleep aids although be cautious that you will probably feel a bit groggy in the morning. Very typical of sleep aids such as this and no different than its name brand. If you are used to prescription meds this will probably make you tired but might not help you actually fall asleep. It does a great job keeping you asleep I will say.

Works Very Well
I use sleep aids to help with getting a good night’s sleep. I do not take anything other than OTC products. I had been using a sleep aid sold by my local grocery store, and have tried other products, but never with good results. I decided to give the Amazon Basic Care Sleep-Aid Softgels a try. Each Softgel contains 25mg of diphenhydramine HCl, which is a typical ingredient, and dosage, of many sleep aids, including the one that I had been taking. This is a 48 count package. Based on the suggested two Softgels per dose (50mg total), this is good for 24 nights. Some people may only need to take one pill, so the package would be good for 48 nights. Everyone is different, so my results might not be the same for you. I found that this product worked better for me than the other pills that I had been taking. Despite having the same ingredients, I get a sounder sleep. This might have something to do with these being Softgels, whereas the others are pills. Regardless of the reason, this product is working well for me.

Better than herbal options
My daughter suffers from anxiety and insomnia, and uses sleep aids occasionally for help falling asleep. We normally use melatonin or MidNite.This seems to have a stronger effect than the ones she normally turns to. They are boxes and blister packed, and are a smaller than normal softgel that is easy for her to swallow. Unlike the herbal remedies, she seems to fall asleep and stay asleep. Although this is non-habit forming, we will not be using it nightly, but it is a good option for nights that she needs a little extra help.

Serves Double Duty
I have seasonal allergies, plus I also have issues with sleeplessness sometimes. Amazon’s Nighttime Sleep-Aid serves double duty, because it helps me with both issues. These Softgels are basically Diphenhydramine HCl 25 mg, which is an antihistamine used to relieve symptoms of allergy, hay fever, and the common cold. However, this formula also makes you drowsy, which is why it’s also used to relieve occasional sleeplessness. I’ve been using Diphenhydramine HCI 25 mg for these two purposes, as needed, for several years. This Amazon basic care brand is just as effective. I do have to say it’s a little bit pricier than other generic brands I’ve found, hence the one star deduction. All this taken into consideration, I would recommend Amazon’s Nighttime Sleep-Aid as an effective product for the relief of sleeplessness.

It helps a lot if you, like me, have trouble to fall asleep. It definitely helped me. I dont take it every day and is not addictive. I had a surgery in my knee 9 months ago and they gave me medicine for pain and those were the best because it would knock me down in seconds. However, obviously I can’t keep taking opioids but this option by Amazon has the same effect without being a heavy drug like the one you take after surgery. Recommend.

Comparable to other brands I have used except it recommends to use TWO softgels per dosage of diphenhydramine HCl 25 mg which is a total of 50 mg.I prefer to only take 25 mg so I only take one about an hour before bed and it helps me drift off to dreamland so I can start my workday well rested.

Works well
My husband takes these about 30 minutes before he wants to go to sleep. He ahs trouble sleeping through the night because of pain and our upstairs gets hot but these pills really help. They are about medium sized but he doesn’t have any issues with swallowing them. They are very well if not too well packaging, little tough to get out but I guess that is good in case little kids get to them. He says he feels a little drowsy when he wakes up but gets over it quickly and then feels invigorated from a good night’s sleep.

Same ingredients as name brands
This has the same active ingredients as the name brands, and therefore will work the exact same way. I would say our results were consistent. Sometimes it works really well, sometimes not as well but there are so many factors that effect sleep. I’d say these work better than anything else, and certainly better than sleeping pills used to be in the past where you wake up so groggy and foggy. I don’t with these.

Finally sleeping through the night
I have trouble sleeping through the night without waking. When I wake, I have difficulty going back to sleep. I have tried other over-the-counter sleep aids. I was pleasantly surprised by these Amazon brand sleep aids. The pills are quite large so if you have trouble swallowing, these might be not good for you. You have to take 2 at a time. I take 2 every night before bed. I was finally able to get sleep through the night without waking after taking these. I am glad to see that these are not habit forming.
