This medication worked well, and was delivered to my poor, sick, 23 year old daughter in Philly after she texted me that she felt awful🤣🤣. She was glad to get this along with some chicken soup, and I felt better being 12 hours away!

These work just like the name brand.
In my opinion they were better than the name brand because the flavoring on the outside was very very good, because I didn’t have a glass of water next to me when I first took them. So they sat at the front of my mouth for a minute and they were very cough. Cough syrupy flavored which does not taste that bad to me .Overall, they made me feel quite a bit better and they didn’t taste as absolutely disgusting as taking a Benadryl and ibuprofen

Just got us ready for and through a vacation
Not our first time using Amazon Basic Care Vapor Ice Daytime and Nighttime Severe Cold and Flu, but once again we are happy with the results. We got colds shortly before leaving on a 4 day getaway and got this pack of Amazon Basic Care Vapor Ice Daytime and Nighttime Severe Cold and Flu to get us through the trip. I was almost over mine, but my wife struggled as we left on the trip. The Amazon Basic Care Vapor Ice Daytime and Nighttime Severe Cold and Flu kept me feeling good throughout and helped her finish her recovery. We are very pleased with the product and use it whenever we are ill.

Pill packages are challenging to open
No matter how many times I bend the tab back and forth, the paper cover doesn’t come loose. I end up having to puncture the pill packets with a pen to get the pills out. Home delivery was convenient, but when I’m sick, I don’t want to have to fight with packaging. Also, I thought that these would be gel capsules, but they are called “caplets”. Spoiler alert: a “caplet” is just a tablet, and I prefer something faster acting.

Works No Less Than Brand Name
These work just as well for me as the brand name without the brand name cost. We keep a box of these on each floor of the house. I’m happy there are alternatives to the more expensive brand names that work. Given how many bugs are going around this winter, a box of these is a must. I’ll be buying these again in the future as needed. 5/5.

Get something else with pseudoephedrine if you need a decongestant
I feel a bit better after taking these but realize now that these have phenylephrine which the FDA determined is no more effective than a sugar pill as a decongestant. It’s not bad for you, just ineffective. I wish I’d checked, surprised they’re still selling medicine with this.A Food and Drug Administration advisory panel concluded (in 2023) that the decongestant phenylephrine, contained in many over-the-counter cold remedies — including some formulations of popular brands like Sudafed, Tylenol, and Nyquil — is ineffective when taken orally.

Must have in medicine cabinet
My whole family recently had “the” virus. I needed something for my husband and I that was going to arrive next day and help ease the symptoms ASAP. This was such a BLESSING!!!! Definitely something I will keep on hand during this uncertain time because it truly helped US with our experience. The PM was my favorite because I’d take it before bed and it helped me get to sleep quickly. I always felt the worst in the evening so it was a lifesaver to help me get the rest I needed. My husband didn’t need the PM to help sleep so he took the daytime stuff throughout the day and evening.

Good but very hard to open
I realize these tablets need to be in secure packaging, however, these were so hard to open. Usually you can peel the first layer then pop the pills out, but not these pills. I damaged my finger nail trying to split the first layer and ended up needing scissors to just cut them open. Frustrating if you take them with you – you’ll need to carry scissors too.

OK, generic product, hard to swallow, arrived damaged
We have the flu in our family, so I ordered 3 boxes. It arrived in an Amazon paper bag (instead of the Amazon box) with one whole box smashed and open. Would you take medicine from a box that is open? Not happening here. So we have TWO usable boxes. These are not like Dayquil and Nyquil, they are very hard tablets bigger than a penny. If you have the coughing and sore throat with your flu, they are hard to swallow. I bought these because I’m too sick to go to the store. When you pay $36 plus tax for cold medicine, you’re hoping it’s what you wanted. I’d give this a C. It’s just the equivalent of something you’d get as a generic at Dollar General, etc. Oh, one box is enough for ONE person for four days. The flu can last two weeks, so something to consider.

Works But Cheaper Options Available
My local Wal-Mart was out of a similar pack of medicine like this one and I needed something ASAP. This was the closest option here that wasn’t super expensive. The pills have the slightly minty “cooling” coating which is nice. They are easy to swallow which for somebody like me is a must. It helped alleviate my systems just like the Wal-Mart stuff. Overall I can’t complain about the effectiveness of these pills. However, they are twice as much for the same amount I get at Wal-Mart. If this was a name brand I wouldn’t be surprised. Yet these are part of the Amazon Basic line which is supposed to be the more affordable option. I’ll definitely buy these again if a similar situation arises. Otherwise I’ll stick to the Wal-Mart brand.
