Scroll wheel is a bit sticky but otherwise good
The mouse click is soft which is nice if you’re in a quiet place studying or working. I don’t like the scroll wheel as it seems to click when I’m scrolling. But for a budget mouse this works fine.

Great mouse
I needed a mouse to use with a laptop computer and decided to get a wireless one. This one feels good in my hand. I was a little confused after inserting the batteries as it didn’t come on. Didn’t realize there is a tiny on switch on the bottom of it. The batteries go in on an angle as well. Anyway, it worked right away. It was a great price too. Would recommend.

Back cover randomly popped off
Love this mouse except that the bottom cover for the batteries fell off out of nowhere. It never dropped or anything and now it is missing . A mystery. But very smooth to use and soft quiet clicks. The price is a great deal. Will definitely repurchase again when needed.

My wife uses this for hours every day and she is rather rough on it but it still works great. Only complaint is that it’s a bugger to change the AAA batteries, they don’t come out easily and I need something pointy like a small screwdriver to get them loose.

Pretty good, had it for a year and a half. Recently I started traveling with it and it got banged up somehow, and now I have to click several times for it to work. Not sure how much I can blame the mouse for that, but def keep it in mind when you buy.

Functional product and good for the price.
This is a value-priced mouse that uses two AAA batteries. It was simple to unbox and assemble and I had it working within minutes. The instructions were clear and easy to follow. The batteries are inserted at an angle, which makes removing them very easy.This is an inexpensive mouse that feels light in the hand and is a little slower on the uptake than my more expensive Logitech. It’s rather small and if you have larger hands you may find it clumsy to use. I think its excellent for a travel mouse that you expect to get relatively light use. There is a slot inside the mouse battery compartment for the stub when its not in use, which helps to keep it from getting lost.

In the first place the packaging was close to impossible to open. scissors. knife, cracked knuckles and cuts resulting from slipped knife. Once the mouse was released…..finding the tiny batteries was another issue.. they were wrapped so tightly in saran wrap that it took a small pair of manicure scissors to first pierce the packing then cut a slit big enough to extricate the batteries also slicing the tip of another finger…. reading the instructions to insert the batteries took my phne camera set on ENLARGE to read then as I tried to insert them, I broke two nails, slipped again with a knife, tried a blunt end of another pair of scissors until I finally heard a faint “click” they were crooked and slanted and did not look right.. although the little on/ off light came on….but it was red. or was that blood dripping from my slashed fingers? It did not come with a USB port so I used the original one …nothing… light’s on….batteries,,in…nothing….I messaged the help desk.. ( page no longer exisisted) What to do,,, Amazon would happily refund my 7 dollars if I drive forty minutes to a UPS store,,,, which would cost me over 7 dollars in gas,,,,, me so sad,,,, and I still need a mouse… whoaaaa..update here. after spending over an hour with the Microsoft Support Team, and fiddling around aGAIN with the batteries, shredding another fingernail…what to my wondering eyes should appear??? a teeny little USB port tucked in between where the batteries are supposed to live, tearing it out.. inserting it into a slot on the side of my laptop….VOILA.. my mouse works!! ta da..just like magic… I did add another couple of stars but gosh… the directions could have let me know to look for the USB port in the first place.. now to go repair my nails… staunch the flow of the royal blood…we’re back in business

Great price for an optical mouse
Over decades, I have probably used and discarded more mice than I care to think about. From old rolling-ball mice to early optical mice (wired and wireless), it was hard to settle on one which was my forever mouse. Every item I chose to replace a defective mouse seemed to have its own shortcomings.This mouse was a replacement for my wife’s mouse of 5 years service, which died rather suddenly. The price was right and (Amazon) delivery was quick (luckily, the computer had a touch screen for interim use).Out of the box, this mouse is as good as any I have ever used in the past. Longevity is yet to be determined, but the price is such that I bought two. If the first one fails, I have a backup. Ordering a replacement will be contingent on how long the first one lasts, but a week of use makes me think this one will give as good or better a service life as MANY of the mice I have purchased in the past.I did not rate sleep mode (?) or gaming (?). Neither I nor my wife do anything with our mice but use them (there is a power switch, but we do not care). I can buy Costco batteries, so I/we do not care at all about sleep mode. Also, neither of us “game”, so no issues there with response. This item works well as a mouse. It is what I wanted/needed.I will say that the dead mouse and the mouse I currently use had touch scroll, rather than a wheel. Wheels have always been a sore spot with mice. Touch scroll has been my go-to for years. This model seems to work well, right off the bat. It’s scroll function works better than many mice I have used in the past. We will see if the function degrades over time, as it has in the past with other mice.

Had a mouse from that “other company.” It was over 10 years old and needed to be retired. Have had great results from purchasing Amazon Basics products, so I took a chance on this purchase. I’m happy! Works well, mated instantly, does what I need for a reasonable cost. One thing that takes getting used to: when turned on, battery indicator is RED, not the usual green. Oh well, still worth the purchase!

Solid mouse, great price point
This is a great basic mouse. I personally prefer the microsoft mice and have been getting them for years, but saw this one and decided to give it a try.I love the weight, size, and reliability of it. It works well, and is easy to install/setup. That said, I did notice some very (almost indiscernible) drag that I didn’t like. I wound up buying my old standby Microsoft mouse which works so well, even on my mac. That said, I did keep the Amazon Basics mouse as a solid backup.So if you’re not THAT picky about your mice (I admittedly am quite picky), this is a great buy. If you are, and you want an affordable backup or secondary mouse, this is a solid buy. If you are comparing between the two and like me have used a Microsoft mouse in the past, you will probably want to stick with that brand.

This Amazon Basics wireless mouse is an excellent choice for the price. My previous computer mouse lost a fight with my cat and went on the floor. It seemed okay but a few days later the button stopped working. I ordered this one as a replacement and I am very pleased with it. It arrived quickly and after a couple of false starts due to having the batteries in wrong it started right up and works perfectly. An excellent price for an excellent wireless mouse and I would buy it again.
