10/11/24 UPDATE. Hurricane Milton survivor here! Put the previous 8 batteries back into in my O2Cool fan on 10/9 at 9p when we lost power . Couldn’t open windows with 100 mph winds outside so this was all the circulation there was. On 10/10 at 10p we noticed the fan was slowing down. These batteries ran the fan for 13 hrs during the 1st power outage and 25 during the hurricane outage. I’d say that 38 hrs of running a fan is quite good. Praying that we don’t have to use the 2nd set for another 38 hrs. ————-It’s hurricane season, so it’s time to buy batteries. Used these in an O2cool fan that takes 8- D cell batteries when lightening took out the transformers by my home. I had it running for 13 hours and the batteries were still working. Will update on how long they worked when I need to use the fan again.

I bought a battery-powered lantern. I don’t use this pattern except to have it during bad weather. This is especially good to have an extra set of these on hand. Amazon has a good deal on these. I would recommend these to have around the house. I have also purchased the AA AAA models from Amazon Basics.

These batteries seem to be better than Duracell. It seems Duracell batteries always leak! Not had that problem with Amazon Basics.

Work as well as Duracell, maybe better
I gave these a try when I kept having issues with Duracell batteries leaking. I don’t know what the deal is with Duracell lately, but I keep finding batteries that are leaking even though they aren’t old or exposed to the weather, like in the TV remote. I tried this Amazon brand and so far, for about 2 years now, I’ve had no complaints on any of the sizes (AA, AAA, C or D). They haven’t leaked, they work as well as Duracell in remotes, flashlights and my outdoor Mr. Beam lights, and they’re less expensive.
