   It is good enough

This is the third time I’ve purchased one of these chairs. I’ve had every kind of office chair there is from cheap to ridiculously expensive and quite honestly, I don’t really think any of them are worth the money paid. That being said, this is kind of the “goldilocks” of chairs. Not particularly high end, but not too basic, not too expensive but not too cheap. The last one I had only lasted about a year before the pad wore down and it was quite uncomfortable.. but I still kept it another year until I couldn’t take it anymore. So I would say if you can find it on Amazon Warehouse for a little cheaper price, it will be worth it. While the pad is new, it’s super comfortable and the faux leather didn’t even wear out before it became uncomfortable, so I am pretty happy with it overall. When assembling, make sure not to tighten the screws at all – just set them in place until you get everything together. Then, go back and fully tighten everything. I learned this the hard way before and the screw holes won’t line up if everything is tightened ahead of time. Otherwise, assembly is 15 mins max by myself (I despise putting things together, another reason for my delay in replacing the chair). I work remote 5 days / 40 hours, so this chair gets a lot of use. If you use it less than this, you may get more life out of it.

   Broke/ Almost 2 Years

This chair just broke today. The plastic molding where bolt goes into the seat on left side broke all the way through both above & below bolt. I liked the chair how I could lean back in it & that I could adjust height, so my feet are closer to the ground. I looked and all plastic molding both sides has cracking above & below (3) other bolts. I could hear it making a settling noise last night like I was moving around in it when I wasn’t (I wasn’t moving but, apparently the cracks were growing until today one broke all the way through). It was not dangerous & the chair other than the broken area has very little wear on it. It was a good chair & the price was good. I’m kind of bummed out & not sure if I’ll buy another one or if I’ll find something different. And I do exceed the 275lbs by about 25lbs that plus I lean back in it maybe 2-3 hrs. daily it may last longer if you weigh less &/ or lean back in it less (I don’t know).

Ok for the price, but has issues

At this price point, you can’t expect perfection, and if you order this chair do keep those expectations low. It is reasonably comfortable, and the faux leather looks and feels nice. However, it is smaller than the ad photos lead one to imagine, and the arms are a bit close in. The back tilts but it’s default position can’t be adjusted, and the seat tends to pitch you toward the front rather than toward the back. It is easy to assemble (about 15 minutes). Tip: don’t fully tighten the arms until after you attach the back, then fully tighten the bolts on all three pieces. My biggest complaint is a strange flaw with the back on mine that presents unevenly where it meets the seat (see photo). I am choosing to accept the flaw rather than attempt an exchange. I don’t expect this chair will hold together for long, and next time I’ll spend more and be more picky. For the price, this is adequate, but nothing more.

Great home office chair FOR THE PRICE POINT!!!

This office chair is a great product FOR THE PRICE POINT!!! If you’re over 6 feet tall or 250 pounds or both this is NOT the chair for you. Also, if you’re used to very expensive, professional, office furniture at your workplace, this is NOT the chair for you. I didn’t want to spend over $100 for a reasonably comfortable home office chair and this product fit the bill perfectly.Several reviewers have remarked that the assembly process was not the easiest. I used the tools pictured in the attached photo and it was fairly straight forward with a clear & easy to follow instruction manual. Overall (to include unboxing), the entire process took me about 30 minutes. If I had only used the Allen wrench provided to assemble the chair, the process would been somewhat more challenging and time consuming.Additionally, some reviewers have commented that sitting in this chair for more than 2 or 3 hours at a time is uncomfortable. Well, I have a $1,000, ergonomic chair at work and that’s also uncomfortable after sitting in it for 2 or 3 hours. So for frequent home office work less than 45 minutes at a time, this chair is great. For serious, full time, work-from-home 8 hours a day, you’ll have to spend a lot more to be comfortable.FOLLOW UP: After about 10 months of almost daily use my original comments above remain the same. The chair is still in great shape and working well for less than an hour at a time. Wheels aren’t the best even on a tiled surface, but if that’s what I wanted, I would have spent a lot more money. Still very happy with this purchase.

Another great deal for the money.

I’ll admit that when I bought this chair I didn’t even pay attention to the fact that it said “AmazonBasics” in the title. But as it turns out, Amazing must have contracted some Chinese company to build them stuff in their name. And as such, you can bet that the quailty of the item will actually be rather good. Why would Amazon put their name on garbage? This chair is a fantastic value. It was easy to put together, came with an Allen key and all if the hardware was in small, separate baggies that were labeled and the instructions were very well written and very easy to understand. I had the chair together in under ten minutes while moving at a leisurely pace. On top of this, the bolts came with blue thread locker already on them. I know that isn’t a huge deal to most people, but it means something to me. It shows they want you to have this thing in one piece for a long time. The chair looks and feels like something you’d have in a professional office. The faux leather is well made and quite comfortable. The adjustment on it works very well and over all, the chair feels like it should cost much closer to the $100 mark.Make no mistake, this isnt some $300 chair, but at the same time, it isn’t trying to be. I basically bought this thing to sit in front of our computer that we almost never use. So, in reality, I almost bought it just to complete my office. So, if you have a home office and want a chair that’s very comfortable, looks good but don’t care about the lack of head rest and don’t want to break the bank, this is the one.I actually work in front of a computer all day long, and this is a chair I wouldn’t mind having there. I’d probably miss the head rest after a bit, but this is something I would use in a professional setting.

Easy to put together , sturdy and comfortable

My 14 year old son wanted a new desk chair. He is 5’11” 200 lbs. He put it together in about 20 minutes and been using it since. Sturdier than other chairs, good back height and comfortable while gaming for hours on end.

Super Good Chair — Remarkable Reasonable Price !!!

I am super happy with this chair! It is better than expected and is VERY COMFORTABLE! Only one screw hole on the left arm side of the chair was stripped out, but I got the screw in almost all the way (but not far enough to put the cap cover over it). That was the ONLY thing I would have changed and that was not enough to keep it from a 5-Star rating! It is an excellent chair and an excellent price!!!Kathy Hoyt

    Very comfortable chair!

This is a well built chair and easy to put together. It adjusts to the appropriate height and the back gives good support. It is easy to clean. I highly recommend this chair. Great value.
