Bright Prominent Gridlines are TOO much!!
The Blue gridliines are too prominant and bright. Most would agree. There’s another Amazon basics graph paper that’s sold in smaller volumes (2-packs) with gray gridlines that are just right. I thought I was going to get the other product and was very disappointed. They don’t scan well, b/c the bright lines are dominant compared to your writing.

Lines are too dark, so it’s hard to read anything on this paper
My sons have been using this paper for a while, and I really wanted to like a low-cost option for scratch paper. Unfortunately, the lines are so dark that it is very hard to read anything written in pencil; since math, science, and engineering work is done in pencil, that’s a pretty broad swath of functionality that is lost. Bummer.

“basic” is the right term
I prefer to write and take notes on quadrille paper (as opposed to lined paper). These pads really don’t work for me for several reasons. The grid pattern is printed in medium to dark, so it stands out significantly against the background, rather than being a rather light background image. If you write in blue ink, it will be about the same tone as the grid. The paper is very thin and ink bleeds easily. The gel pens that I write with bleed through onto the page underneath and the ink bleeds on the page, meaning you don’t get crisp lines. (The paper quality reminds me of news print or the yellow pads we wrote on in elementary school). I would say that these pads would be ok for doing basic graphs or as scratch note paper for a math class. Note really suitable for note taking or anything with ink.

Lines are way too dark to see your own writing.
Grid paper like this is supposed to have a very light blue grid printed on it so that pencil or pen is visible against it. The grid printed on this paper is extremely dark, so dark that you can’t actually read things you’ve written on it. This makes the paper effectively useless for writing on, which is the only thing you want paper for.In addition, the grid printed on the back of the paper is not aligned with the grid printed on the front, and is dark enough to see through the paper, though that wouldn’t be so much of a problem if the grid wasn’t so dark that you can’t read your own writing. If it was lighter, it wouldn’t be visible through the paper anyway.

Excellent Quality for the Money
I use a lot of graph paper pads during meetings and this is the highest quality I’ve ever found. The cardboard backing is very sturdy, the pages are firmly attached, and the page thickness prevents see-though issues. The number of pages in each pad is substantial, so I won’t have to worry about replacement for quite some time. These are definitely worth the money.

The binding is pretty poorly done, the printing is variable (some sheets are noticeably lighter / darker than others), the pages are often stuck together– even the trimming on the edges is a little ragged. Altogether, not a high quality item for the price.

Unless you like to draw your designs in ink, this graph paper is useless. The printed blue lines are simply too dark, making it really difficult to see normal pencil lines.

Good, cheap, but the lines are too strong so you can’t use a pen or pencil. Would not buy again.
Would not recommend, my kids can basically use only sharpies on this paper, but then it bleeds through, so it’s not really a good purchase. If we use a pen or pencil – there’s not enough contrast between the letters/numbers and the blue chart-lines. Oh well. Live and learn.

Lines are too dark rendering paper useless unless you use a sharpie
This paper – the lines are way too dark. you have to use a marker or a pen, pencil will compete with the lines and render the paper useless. Also it is nice and thick, but it isn’t perforated, so you have to use a knife to cut it out or deal with a ton of thick ragged edges from the pages you tore using force. Lastly, the pad is crooked, so the lines do not even line up with the edges of the paper! Such garbage, I wish I had known.

Very nice and thick.
Bought this set thinking these were kind of thin like most pads you find at Walmart, but was pleasantly surprised by how thick these guys were when they arrived. It was a great buy for my case… College Junior doing several Math classes for a BS in Mathematics. I do a lot of work on my Surface Pro but having a physical pad to work on from time to time is very nice.

I bought this paper for my sons online schooling. I ended up buying another pack just for myself and my own work. It was such high quality. There was no bleed through so I could use both sides. High Quality but the edges tend to curl
The paper is nice and thick and does not break at the perforations too easily. So, if you like to fold the spent pages over, they won’t come off unintended like so many other legal pads.My only real issue is how easy the bottom curls if you don’t protect it. I use paper clips.

Good quad ruled graph paper, although it has a scale of 5 lines per inch. When I got it, it was unclear what the scale was as it was not listed in the description and the questions and reviews gave conflicting information. Although, I wanted to get metric quad ruled graph paper, I am currently happy with using it as note taking paper. Currently, as of 2022-07-31, the description does have the correct scale listed.

Decent Price – 1 – 20 Pages is Wrinkled and Pages Wont Tear
Good price, I have two complaints.1- The perforation for easy tear away isn’t very good, commonly it wont seperate the page and it will tear diagonally.2- From the mill there are wrinkled pages every 20-40 pages making the top sheet wavey and uneven to write on. If you are doing anything but drawing on it you will have trouble. If you use a compass, stensil, straight edge or french curve your work wont look good and will have issues.

Large quantity, acceptable engineering pads
I’m an engineer and use 1/4 grid for everything – taking notes, drawings, etc.These pads are thick w/ a lot of sheets and work very well for my desktop. They are thicker than I’d carry on a clipboard.The grid lines are thicker than my previous pad (see comparison photo), which both distracts from any drawing while also making accurate drawings more difficult.

Quality is Inconsistent
The paper stock is of nice weight, and the card stock backing is hefty with excellent binding. The scoring for removing pages is quite good; pages stay in firmly but tear out smoothly and cleanly.On the other hand, the grid is printed very inconsistently. The rules – vertical and horizontal – vary in weight from page to page. The grid field is sometimes slightly crooked and inconsistently aligned (three pics show the varying start positions on the left as well as the alignment to the page). Some pages are missing portions of the grid field (first pic).It’s inexpensive for graph paper, but the point of it all is alignment and precision. It’s adequate for notes, sketching ideas, etc., but not of quality to rely on for class or professional work.As a notepad it’s pretty good. As graph paper, it needs improvement.

Manufacturing issue makes this bad
First, it was damaged when it arrived, had a gash in the binding on a couple of them, but could just be delivery.Second, the pages on all but one are not the same length so it creates a weird edge on the bottom. Not a huge deal for the use of the paper but you are selling paper. I kinda expect them to be an actual decent binding of the notebook but i guess its cheap so you get what you pay for.I would give 1 star but i guess the paper is still paper and it works, rips off fine and no problems writing.

Great Value for the Money
I am using this for preliminary design sketches and design details for my owner-builder home. This is NOT pre-drilled for a 3-ring notebook, which gives me significantly more space on each page. The paper is opaque so that I can draw on one side and make notes on the reverse. The print quality is crisp. My only objection is that the cuts for pages and the cardboard backer are a little ragged, but that does not interfere with using the pads and Good Lord, they are cheap to buy! This is a great value for the money!

For what I do, which is architectural and interior design layouts etc, I draw people’s spaces on the spot. This is perfect for me. I love that the lines are nice and dark. The pad is thick unlike most of these quad pads around nowadays. I can easily see the lines if I overlay the paper with a tracing paper, marker paper, or even bond paper. I can draw directly on this and it is fine. I also can tear sheets out as needed. I knew it was for me when I read that the lines were dark.
