This surge protector appears to be well made.Pros:Nice long cordNice right-angle wall plugSwivel covers to keep dust out of unused outletsDecent joules protectionBlue LED lets you know unit is actively providing surge protectionWhen its ability to prevent surges expires, the blue LED goes outConsDoes not protect against lightening strikes if that’s important to youThe components in surge protectors that provide the actual protection eventually burn out. At this point the “surge protector” becomes nothing more than a power strip.This surge protector is nice in that it has a blue LED providing a visual indicator it is still providing protection, according to the sheet manual that comes with it. So you are encouraged (again according to the manual ) to glance at the indicator every so often. It will be interesting to see how long the unit lasts. (I got it for the Nordic T 6.5s treadmill which suggests a surge protector.) But so far I like it.

A Solid, Affordable Surge Protector and Power Strip
I was needing to replace a couple of my surge protectors and power strips and decided to look for something with a longer cord. I’ve generally had good experiences with Amazon Basics branded items and was pleased to see this 6-outlet surge protecter power strip. It’s 790 joules and has a durable 6-foot cord.I like that it comes in two colors. I opted for the black cord as it fits more with the design of my house. I like the LED indicator so I know that everything is working well. The rectangular shape makes it a little much if I want to take it with me somewhere, but it goes great in my house and looks pleasant.The pricing here is fantastic, the quality is top-notch, and I’ve been pleased with surge protection. I’ve had zero issues at all and am really quite pleased. There’s no doubt that I will buy more in the future as I need them. This offers the perfect combination of quality and affordability. I definitely recommend.
