Writes well
Smooth writing, and consistent ink pattern. 12-pack of these for less then the more popular main brand pens that do the same thing. I work in a lab setting, and need pens and markers constantly. Get’s pricy trying to buy the main brand stuff. I experimented with the Amazon brand pens, and I won’t be going back. These work great!

Great pens but clip falls out
I love how these write and how they look. I use them at work and they’re super handy. The only annoying part is the clip in the back just slides into the pen so it falls out really easily. I work in the ER and quickly need to grab my pen from my pocket but sometimes the clip has fallen off and the pen falls to the bottom of my pocket. Recommend them otherwise!

Not terrible but certainly not great….UPDATE: worst pens I’ve ever used
I bought these pens to use in my classroom. I was excited due to the amount and variety of colors in the package (which I still like) but when it came to actually writing with them, yikes! You have to push down very hard and the colors are not as vivid as I had hoped. I kept them but I will be letting my high schoolers use them instead of using them for myself; and that’s saying a lot because once they are in the hands of a high schooler they are as good as destroyed but I am willing to give these away for that reason.***Update…I HATE these pens. The quality is horrible and they get all over your hands when writing with them. The colors are dull and I wish I could send them back but I had already labeled them for my classroom. I would not recommend these to anyone.

Pretty Colors
I bought these pens for my grandkids to draw. They like to use my colored pens when visiting, so this package of pens was perfect to divide into two sets, to take home. They have 12 beautiful colors to choose from, for whatever their imagination can come up with. Some pens were a little slow to start but hard pressure was all that was needed. These provide a better use of time than electronic gadgets.

… and these pens are my newest discovered treasure from Amazon Basics.I write a lot by hand, for my work as well my own assorted endeavors. These may be the best value pen I have found in the 55 years since I began writing.They are such good pens that I look for ones I have misplaced because I really don’t want to lose any, BUT inexpensive enough that if I am unable to find one that’s gone missing it is okay.Anyway BIG 👍 👍

Awesome for Artists
OMG, I’m in love with these pens! I’m a sketch artist – I don’t journal, so take this review in account for that. However I have to say I’m super impressed with these pens. The ink comes out consistently – very little blobbing. You can do a lite scratch and a heavier hand to get the saturation of color you would expect from the different pressures.Some notes on color:Yellow – oh finally! It is so hard to find a ball point pen in yellow (waiting for my Bic Sun to come from England yet). This yellow is a deep golden color, like a Sunflower. Just lovely.Orange – not too much like a straight up orange – more like a burnt sienna. Rich and earthy. Love it.Brown – not too much like a chocolate brown, but oh boy is it a lovely burnt umber, or maybe dark walnut? Anyway you look at it, yum yum. Love it.Dark Green – more of almost a greenish-teal. Heavy on the blue, though a definite green. Rather intriguing.Dark Blue – definitely navy-ish, which is nice as usually this color is pretty bright blue, so having something more muted is lovely.Purple – dusky reddish purple. Different than many others, I like it.The other colors are much as you would expect. The pink and magenta are a delight, as is the light green and light blue. The black is solid, though I would say it’s possibly richer in color than the Bic.Hope that helps!

Really! It’s that easy? Guess not!!!
Been there, done that with so many different brands of pens. Plastic, stainless, or combination trying to find a reliable pen that was comfortable to use. G2 were good, but gel never dries, water all but erases your work. Waterproof gels not much better. Other comfort writer ink pens stop writing, causing you to frantically scribble. Zebra stainless pens were good, but not that comfortable and if inverted too long, what a mess. Ink pens that look like gels were not much better with globs of ink, paper fiber clotting at end. I thought I would have to settle for a pen that was sub par or keep going into the bank to grab a new pen or two with each transaction, but no more! Amazon throws their hat into the world of writing instruments with a flick of their wrists. You know those white plastic barreled pens that many companies advertise with? Yep these are basically the same except Amazon Basics has a rubber grip feel to them, comfortable and light weight. Thought hmmm seems cheap, but wait, it actually starts to write quickly, no scribbling required. And wow, it writes real smooth. I was skeptical since the box of 12 was very light compared to others. But its really a nice pen, Im shocked. Its that easy to create a good economical pen, no fuss? Apparently it is and Amazon has them by the dozen at a great price. I cleaned out the pencil cup, even the new unused pens of old were tossed, yeah that bad and frustrating! So for the first few days I’m happy and will update once I go through a few. Thanks Amazon!!!Update: Amazon Basics ink pens are a disappointment. Beeb using for a couple of months, now replacing with another brand. Keep the pens upright in a pancil cup, but they lack ink at the start, even if they’ve been previously used. Clumping of ink on the tip is very annoying as well. Still writes smooth once the get going, but it takes a few seconds many times. The frantic scribbling is what is the worst and this turn out to be no better than the rest.Bummer. Really wanted to love this pen, but filing for seperation using another brand.

Great price, good dark ink
I ordered the standard black ink pens. The “click” mechanism works well, the ink is good and dark. The main drawback that I noticed is that the ink doesn’t start right away. I have to find a piece of scratch paper to do a scribble on to get it started. Then it writes well. I might want a ballpoint that has a little finer point, but this works just fine for everyday purposes.

These are, hands down, the best freaking pens I’ve ever used! I bought a box of the black ink ones and a box of the colored ones. I’m a nurse…I use one color to write what I’m told and another color to write what happened during my shift.The color pens are all bright enough to read and all the pens write smoothly. The clips break and fall off
I bought these as a less expensive version of the Paper Mate 1.4 mm Profile Ball. Sadly, they are not as good.My main complaint is the clip falling off or not bending outward within a few days of use. I keep pens in a cargo pocket at work, so not being able to retrieve the pen efficiently gets frustrating.My second observation is that the ink does flow as well as the Paper Mate. Many times, I’ve had to wake up the ball and ink by doodling circles- but that is annoying if you’re trying to sign an official document.I’ve bought another dozen Paper Mates, they were on sale an 2 dollars less than the Amazon pen! However, regardless of the price, I’ll stick to the tried and true Paper Mate 1.4mm.

Skips on occasion and doesn’t write on Thermal Paper
I read a lot of the comments before buying these.The transaction was safe and as advertised.Nice slender, but not to skinny, rubber feel to it. The ONLY thing negative I have to say, is the same thing someone else wrote. If you lay the pen down for a while, you may have to scribble on a pc of paper to get it to write again. It will skip on occasion. I own a restaurant, therefore I write on our cash registers Thermal Paper a lot. It does NOT do well at all with that paper so I’ve resorted to find another pen that will. I love them but I won’t buy these again, because of those 2 issues, skipping on occasion and the lack of being able to write on Thermal Paper.

Pens
I was looking for pens for my journaling and Bible I found these ones on Amazon I was little bit worried at first because the price was so good but when I started using them they were excellent they don’t bleed they don’t smear they’re good quality so glad that I bought them

Okay for colored pens and price
Not the greatest. Some colors are dull and the ink doesn’t come out smooth and dark. Some do, like the dark blue and purple.
