Very nice but the strainer is unneeded

Like it but the strainer in the poring spout is a nuisance. The lid doesn’t open as far as my old one and I don’t like the switch on the base.My old one was better but not offered anymore on Amazon

    Speedy warRm up

I dislike the condensation on the kettles inside after use. My disabled husband is the one that uses it and he cannot remember to leave the lid up after use which only partially solves the condensation problem .I understand this is hardly a universal problem , You asked for the review

    Love it

I’ve only had this for about a week but I’ve been using it at least once a day and I really like it. It’s so easy to use and easy to clean because there are no odd angles Andy has a big enough opening on top. I was worried about the base being sturdy enough but it’s totally fine. The blue light combined with the bubbling water is a delightful sensory experience

    It’s Great!

We borrowed my son’s COSORI Electric Kettle when our kitchen was being renovated and we had no access to our gas cooktop.I never knew how much we’d appreciate such a simple thing, especially since I am not a fan of too many countertop beyond a toaster and coffeemaker. What really sold me though is how cool it keeps our desert kitchen as our high output gas stove puts out a lot of heat.I highly recommend this product.

Quiet, fast and good to look at.

Second cosori I have owned. First was good. This new model is great. Much quieter and faster to temperature. Love the led lights illuminating the water. I am a tea fanatic with over 20 different loose leaf teas at current time. This kettle is perfect for me.

    Excellent

I have used this kettle to heat water everyday for 2 years now. It is excellent and very fast. I have had no problems and would highly recommend it to anyone. Also a very import part for me is that it is totally glass and stainless steel so the water never touches plastic.I have bought several for gifts because I like it so much.

Where has this kettle been all my life?

I let my son take our 20-year old electric kettle to college so he could make himself hot chocolate (wanting to encourage hot chocolate over other, well, less wholesome beverages). The first kettle I ordered worked well, but the handle was too fat for my hands and I didn’t like the way the lid opened. After I returned it and started searching for another, this precious little yellow tea kettle popped up. I don’t know how I missed it the first time! Maybe I was trying to find something as close as possible to the older kettle; I’m not sure. But this one is adorable. It’s so cute, works great, and is the perfect size. My *only* complaint is that it can be a little hard to settle the kettle onto it’s base, but I’ve only used it twice so far and I think I just need to get used to the ways in which it differs from the one I’ve been using since forever. Don’t think twice about this little cutie–you won’t be sorry!

    Boiling Brilliance

As a coffee addict and tea enthusiast, the COSORI Electric Kettle has been nothing short of a kitchen miracle. This sleek, stainless steel beauty heats water faster than I can say “double espresso,” making my morning routine smoother than a freshly steamed latte. The no plastic contact with water feature means I can enjoy my beverages without worrying about any unwanted flavors—pure, clean hydration every time.I love the generous 1.7L capacity, perfect for brewing multiple cups or prepping hot water for a cozy evening tea party with friends. The automatic shut-off feature is a lifesaver, preventing any accidental boiling mishaps and ensuring peace of mind when I’m multitasking around the house. Plus, the stylish black design complements my kitchen decor, making it look like a high-end gadget rather than just another appliance. However, the kettle can sometimes be a bit noisy during the boiling process, making me feel like I’m hosting a miniature volcano eruption in my kitchen. Additionally, the stainless steel outer surface can get hot to the touch, requiring a quick cool-down period before I can handle it safely.Overall, the COSORI Electric Kettle is a must-have for anyone serious about their hot beverages. It’s efficient, stylish, and incredibly functional, making it an essential part of my daily routine. A solid 5-star rating for its performance and design, with a tiny star lost to its occasional noise levels.

Fast boiling and no plastic comes in contact with water.

Loved that it was glass with a stainless steel filter so that no plastic comes in contact with the water. Fast boiling with auto shut off. Heavy duty. Looks like it will last a long time. Nice size. Would recommend.

    Cute & Effective

I purchased in the light green color and I love how pretty it is. Looks aside, I am coming from a “stainless steel” electric kettle, and I hated how it would rust despite washing and drying it. I wanted something that was easy to work with in the long run. I love that the water only touches glass and that the kettle has such a large capacity. I doubt I will ever need 1.7l of water but im glad to know I have the option. Also, it boils quickly. I use it to warm up about 1-2c of water for my dog’s food and its quick and having the glass allows me to spot it exactly where I need to just have warm water.Lastly, going back to its cute factor. Due to all the color options Ive recommended this to friends and family because it can easily coordinate with any kitchen.

Best kettle I’ve used under $100.

When you first get this, you’ll be put off by the apparent low quality of the materials used to make the kettle. Please dispel that feeling and put it to use! This is a relatively quick boiling kettle, with no-rim design meaning you can fully empty it. It has a one hour standby which is on by default but can be disabled. Unlike my previous kettle, this one works every single time! Glows blue while heating, then goes white at the desired temperature (has six selections for temps). It’s also the best kettle I’ve used in terms of dealing with hard water. Easy to clean, and the particles are generally tiny (not flakes) but do not pass the screen, allowing you to use most of the water you boil. I can’t tell you how rare this is–I’ve probably owned four different kettles in the past 15-20 years, and this is frankly the best of the bunch from the hard water perspective. The only con–when the unit is low on water (last pour or two) some steam escapes from the top of the handle. Be wary of that and you’ll be fine.

Simple setup. Questionable selling point of no water contacts plastic

I bought this model because it was simple. It uses a a simple lever switch to boil water and no special touch buttons for heat settings.I question the whole selling point of no plastic contacts water… There is condensation build up on the inside plastic cover from steam while the the unit boils water. Therefore, water drips from the lid to the bottom so water still contacts plastic. The plastic is not exposed to boiling water, but it’s still subjected to hot steam. One minor issue is the lid button. The button s on the stiff side and the lid pops open partially, so I have to manually open wider for filling. My last two electric kettles would pop wide open. Also another issue is pouring water is very slow. It works well making pour over coffee with Aeropress and Chemex. However, I use this kettle to boil water for meals like pasta. I transfer the boiled water to the stove pot to save time. The mesh screen causes a restriction, so tilting the kettle more doesn’t pour fast and water leaks from the lid making a mess. I’m not using this kettle to make tea, so I think removing the mesh screen will solve this issue. It’s only two screws.I wish it had a keep warm feature that stayed on for a time AFTER you lift the unit, but one doesn’t exist without spending a lot of money.

Boils COLD water in 4 minutes. Metallic spout strainer…not plastic.

October 30, 2023 update: As mentioned in previous update, I used my older boiler for the toilet. Do NOT put boiling water in your toilet. HOT water is good, but not boiling water. It was raining in my basement, and I had to replace the wax ring in my commode. The boiling water melted my wax ring. This is not a review, but I had to warn others that it is NOT a good idea to pour boiling water in your pipes, after writing my previous update. Also, if you have a clog and that boiling water sits in one spot, it can mess up your plumbing. If you have a clog, use Dawn and WARM water. AND Do NOT use a kitchen boiler to pour water in your toilet; bacteria will splash up into the pot and can infect your family. Buy a separate pot to use for household purposes only, Now I can sleep at night.October 16, 2023 Update: My water boiler is still running strong. Unfortunately, my toilet isn’t. I found out that an hour of Dawn in the commode followed by a bunch of boiling water is the best way to remove a clog (you’re welcomed). So, like most oldsters who have had a strong and loyal career, it was demoted as toilet boiler, while the more youthful water boiler takes the coveted place on the kitchen counter…looking cocky and proud. I felt it had to be done this way, because I also have a microscope and have proven to myself that a heavy dumping of boiling water into the commode can and will result in backsplash landing on and inside the water boiler. Yes, the commode water is probably clean…especially after dumping a small bottle of dawn in the toilet water, but this is one time I don’t want to take any chances. So until it takes it’s last current of electricity, this big guy will be the household toilet boiler. The button is still a bit difficult to push, but it still works. Thank you, water boiler, for taking one for the team and being a sport about it!May 2, 2023 Update: My pot stopped working again. When this happens, I try to push down the button, but the button flips back up again. But this time, I was able to turn it on, but it turned off before the water reached boiling.I figured this behavior meant the pot had finally reached retirement age. So I decided to open the other pot (same model, not been used). I reached over to unplug the cord, and the plug and about 2-3 inches of the cord was very very hot. So I unplugged the cord, and waited until the cord cooled. In the meantime, I discovered that I had my instant pot sitting on the cord, by accident. I’m not sure if this was why my cord turned hot (I’m not an electrician), but I freed the cord from the ruthless instant pot (sometimes appliances don’t get along in my kitchen). When the cord was finally cool, I plugged it back in and it worked like a charm! Now, I’m not sure if an overheated plug was why my pot had stopped working in the past (I mentioned this behavior further down, and blamed it on a wet or overheated plate), but now I’m wondering if the cause of the pot going on a workpot’s strike, was because the cord was too hot. Either way, if it stops working, feel the plug. If it feels warm or hot to the touch, simply unplug it and wait until the cord cools.Thank you, Water Heater People, for saving me from burning down my own kitchen. ❤️February 4, 2023 Update:I made the mistake of leaving my water pot’s lid open when I turned it on. I got distracted and it boiled dry. Apparently the automatic shut-off mechanism is in the lid. When the lid is opened, the pot will not shut off automatically. So, I went out to pour my water and there wasn’t any. However, the good news is my house is still standing and this pot STILL WORKS! I assume the pot clicked off while water was still in the pot, and then, the rest evaporated. If it had boiled completely dry, the elements would’ve burned out, I’m sure. The second pot I purchased is still in its box waiting to be used.As for this original pot, I now make sure to tap on the lit before turning it on, just to make sure the lid is closed. It’s become a ritual. 🙂November 2022 Update:I still haven’t used my second pot, yet. The first pot is still going strong. Occasionally, the lid gets sticky, and is difficult to open, but it’s an occasional issue. My water heater blew a few days before Thanksgiving, and this little fella picked up the slack! It heated water for dishes, and made Thanksgiving bearable.April 2022 Update:After almost a year of using the pot, it became difficult to switch on. I immediately bought a duplicate; because, dang it! I love this pot! After I put in the order, I was demonstrating to my husband how it doesn’t turn on, and it turned on! My only explanation of what was happening was that something got wet and it hadn’t dried out yet. I do tend to shoot the water from the tap across the counter into the pot…just to make housework more fun. Maybe I should stop doing that, because water can get into the handle. If your pot suddenly stops working, my suggestion is to unplug it and briefly take a blow dryer to the electric base and the pot’s base. If you have time, forget the blow dryer, and just set it aside to dry naturally. Many of my appliances, when over heated or wet, will cut off and become unusable until it cools or dries out.At least I have another pot. If this gets wet again, I can replace it with the new pot until this one dries out. I’m thinking of buying another pot just for the purpose of boiling eggs. That way, I won’t have to worry about bacteria getting in the coffee.July 2021 update…so, yes, just like others have reported, about a month or so after using it, it suddenly wouldn’t turn on. No light, no heat. But I’m not one to sit idly by, and accept a setback as my new reality. No, Sirree! If I’m going to throw something out, I’m going to figure out the cause of the setback so I can repair it. In this case, the first ring around the protruding pin at the center of the bottom of the carafe became rusted. The rust blocks a current between the base and the carafe, preventing the unit from working effectively. If you place the pot at a different angle (place the pot with your alternate hand, for instance), it may work. At any rate, I simply used a fine-grade sand sponge and sanded off the rust. Steel wool may work, also; but it is a very precise and microscopic job, either way. After I sanded off the rust, I blew off the rust residue and added a thin coat of coconut oil to prevent further rusting. So far, so good. I added pictures to point out the rust. As for the white spots inside the pot, that’s going to happen if you have hard water. Hey, you didn’t hear about people in the 16th century complaining about spots in their water boiler, did you? Of course not! Those lucky people didn’t have to deal with water spots, because they carried their water in from the creek and poured it in an iron kettle. I’m sure you can find an iron kettle on Amazon. I’m not sure where your closest creek is. Maybe Google Maps can show you…OR…you can buy white vinegar or just pretend the spots aren’t there.Mild update: Since I’m correcting typos that I failed to catch earlier, I will say as of today, June 14, 2021 the coconut oil appears to be holding its own. I added a wee bit more, but the kettle hasn’t stopped or failed to start since I applied the first thin coat. 🙂Older review: I love it! My last water boiler almost caught my house on fire, leaked and the water sloshed out of the spout. This water boiler pours very smoothly and boils 1 liter of COLD water in four minutes. I haven’t timed warm water, but I will confirm it’s going to be less than four minutes. The blue light is ok; not as spectacular as I thought it would be. But I didn’t buy this for entertainment. The spout strainer pulls forward, covering the spout when you close the lid. When you open the lid, it has a spring that allows the strainer to be moved down for filling water. It doesn’t stay down, but it won’t snap off when you’re trying to fill the carafe, which was its intended purpose, I believe. It IS made of metal, so you don’t have to worry about poisoning your family with seeping plastic chemicals. In fact, nothing on or in this pot that comes in contact with liquid is made of plastic. The handle and outside of the lid are plastic for the purpose of insulating you from burns. I have on occasion been forced to use a silicone potholder to support the base while pouring, but I wouldn’t remove points for that.It does NOT have a temp control…but you CAN watch it boil and could probably judge from the water’s action and reaction when it’s the temperature for you. Over time, you be a pro and figuring the proper tea temp.I really do like this pot, and would recommend it for my own grandmother, if she was alive to use it.The price is good for the product. I’d buy it if I were you. You don’t know when the price will rise.I have a heat streak. So if something does go wrong with the pot after posting this review, I will be sure to return to post the issues. For now, it’s working great!

One of my favorite kitchen gadgets – also great for hot water in garage

This thing is so awesome. It’s almost my favorite kitchen gadget but my coffee grinder is way up there so it comes in as one of my favorites. It’s in the top 2.I was not sure if it would live up to the claims and the reviews but it was on sale so I thought I’d try it. I am so glad I did, it is awesome and worth full price. It boils water very quickly. I use RO water and have had no buildup/deposits/scale at all. I have well water with plenty of minerals and I suspect that would cause gradual buildup but if you want zero maintenance use RO water. It’s great for coffee and other hot drinks but it’s also awesome for ramen. I pour hot water in a container with ramen and don’t even put it on the stove. It has to sit a little longer than if it was on the stove but this thing is so quick to boil it ends up taking less time overall. 5 and a half minutes in a pyrex container with the lid on and ramen is done. Also, it’s awesome for the garage if you are doing workbench stuff out there and need hot water. I have a hose spigot in my garage but it’s cold only. An electric kettle plus a stainless steam table tray as an improvised sink and you have hot water without going in and out of the house while working on projects.

    Rapid boil; great shipping protection

The package didn’t show up in an Amazon package just in the manufacturer package, so possible for porch pirate to come and get.Product works great. just plug in. add water. Boom.Nice and clear. the base is kinda unstable until after a few uses. Becomes stable after loaded pot on top of it. This is much bigger than I expected. This will not fit in the cup area for fridge water so either use purifier water or sink water or bottled. This is great for tea, coffee, soups, oatmeal add more!1.7L rapid full bubble boiling in about 5 to 6 minutes

    Nice Product

Purchased and I couldn’t be happier with my decision. This kettle stands out for its commitment to being completely plastic-free, ensuring that no part of the kettle that comes into contact with water is made from plastic. This feature is particularly important to me, as I prefer to avoid any potential leaching of chemicals into my beverages. The kettle boils water quickly and quietly, making it perfect for my early morning tea rituals. I appreciate the automatic shut-off feature, which provides peace of mind knowing that I won’t accidentally boil the kettle dry. The gentle blue light is a nice touch, adding a bit of ambiance to my kitchen.Additionally, the design is sleek and modern, fitting well with my kitchen decor. The handle remains cool to the touch, allowing for safe pouring without any risk of burns. Overall, the COSORI Electric Kettle combines functionality with safety and style, making it an excellent choice for anyone looking for a reliable and health-conscious kettle. I highly recommend it!

    The Brits are right

For years I insisted you don’t need a kettle if you have a microwave. Well… I finally tried a kettle, and the Brits are right. Using a kettle is faster and takes up hardly any room. This one has nice blue lights to keep me amused, it turns off automatically when you lift the pitcher or the water boils, and it’s a breeze to clean.Very happy to make morning tea and evening sleepy tea.

Works and looks great with the lights…but boils way too long before shutting off

It looks nice, and I enjoy the blue lights when turned on. But after only a few days it already seems to have issues with shutting off after reaching a boiling point.Handle feels a bit cheap and less than sturdy but hasn’t yet caused any issues.

Great Design, Heavy & Too Big

This was exactly what I wanted. Glass, stainless steel lid and filter and no plastic touching the water. But, I am just one person and this kettle is way too big, both in size for me and for my small countertop. It is also much heavier than any other kettle I have had. I WISH they would make a 1L version of this exact kettle and I would be happy! I wrote to the company but they said they only make this version. I spent 10 hours trying to find a glass kettle that doesn’t have plastic touching the water and it is nearly impossible. So, I will keep this for the time being. But, thinking of switching to something that both fits my countertop and my lifestyle better. Works great though!

    Best tea pot

This is a nice size teapot. I like that it opens with a touch of a button. It boils and turns off on its own which is a great safety feature. And it lights up when heating. Best tea pot I’ve ever owned.

    Great little kettle

We switched from using the larger boiler (which always kept the water hot) to this one and found this one to be just as convenient. Water was kept at room temperature but when we needed to have it hot, we just push click and it warms up the water pretty quick (since we often don’t need it to be boiling hot again, just hot/warm to get what we want). So far so good.

Love that no plastic touches the water!!

Our family is super sensitive and I love that the water in this kettle only touches glass and stainless steel. This is also just a beautiful kettle that I don’t mind having out all the time. The boil speed is quite fast and it’s fun to be able to watch the water as it heats up. We use this multiple times a day and it still looks as great as the day we bought it. Overall, a lovely electric water kettle.

    Awesome product.

So far I am loving this kettle. Yes, it’s a bit more pricey but worth every penny! It boils water in under 5’. And keeps any temperature you choose for an hour unless you decide to turn it off. The only down side is you can only choose those 6 preset but for me it’s no big deal. If that doesn’t bother you either, then I highly recommend it!

Beautiful kettle – you can see water boiling

We had an old electric kettle that still worked, but this one just makes me happy! Nice to see water level and watch it boil. Very fast. At night the blue light is kind of fun to see! It just looks more elegant when serving guests – we’re all about elegant entertaining now, lol! 😊

    A great glass tea kettle

I’ve had this tea kettle for about a year. I really like that I can see through it, since it’s made of glass, and has a blue light at the bottom. It shuts off when it’s done boiling. I would order this again if something happens to my first one.

    Loving this electric kettle!

I bought this electric kettle because I like tea when I have a cold, and hot cocoa in the winter, but hate waiting for water to boil in a stove top kettle and using hot water from my keurig involves a rinse cycle. Shocked how quickly this kettle boils water!!! Love this kettle… May have converted me into a tea drinker! 🙂

Great water kettle for heating thermos for hot lunches

I have been needing a way to heat up the hot bento box for my children’s lunches. What I had been using previously wasn’t hot enough water so the lunches were not staying hot. This kettle boils water quickly and both kids reported back that their lunches were still hot!Love that this has no plastic piece that touches the boiled water. This kettle was definitely worth the money.

works fine, but heavy and too big for no reason

We’ve only had it a couple weeks so I can’t speak to longevity. Its 7 c. max fill line is about 1/2 way- but you can see in my photo, boiling water doesn’t bubble much over that at all. So why the extra glass? Just extra weight that’s ok using just one hand to lift it to fill, (I mostly use 2 because it still is heavy) but definitely not to carry after adding the water. To fill our 43 oz coffee press (shown on the left) doesn’t need the kettle filled above 4-c on the Cosori. (and it is pretty heavy to me only filled that high) So much glass above the fill line makes kettle too high to slip under an 8″ water spigot like ours, (shown on the right). I like that the strainer is built on the lid- it’s out of the way when the lid opens with a button on the top of the handle. The Cosori replaced a stainless steel Hamilton Beach kettle we’d used for 15 years (shown far-R). The H.B. contact finally became intermittent, but it never rusted (new models seem to rust or corrode). I read reviews on so many competing kettles- it seems HB isn’t making them like they used to. I decided on the Cosori even with a few complaints about water spots on the bottom heating plate- yes ours shows them already, but that doesn’t matter to me. My complaint is weight/height. You’ll probably need to use both hands to lift or position under a faucet. We have a dedicated water spigot at the sink for filtered water- very handy and the old kettle could slide under it without having to hold in a tilted position, or even lift, just slide over. I miss that.

Auto shut off is a life saver

This kettle is amazingly fast and no more burnt tea kettles-it automatically shuts off after it hits boiling. No whistle necessary. Oh, and it looks really cool. The size is just right for me and the base can be easily unplugged and stored away. I can see why this is a best seller.

    Drawbacks

This was my husband’s idea. It’s very nice and heats water fast. It weighs more than I can handle even when it’s half full. It doesn’t take up much room on the counter. I have to use a pot holder under the spout (as well as the handle) in order to pick it up. I’ll manage.

    Does the job quickly

    Its big

It works great. Boils water fast and I like the blue led light. But its kind of big. The Max fill line is about 2/3 of the way up. The lid has a metal mesh lip that covers the spout. This gets in the way when I try to fill the water from my fridge. I took the mesh thing off but now it takes a little longer for it to finish boiling.

    It’s ok, not perfect

I’ve had my kettle for a while now, a little under a year I think and it still works. It never heat up water as fast as it says it does but it also depends how much water is in the pot. My main issue has been the build up of what I assume to be minerals or something from the water. It happens so fast that, I’m constantly needing to clean it. There’s also an issue where the bottom inside seems like it’s scraping away. Either from cleaning, even though we clean it very gently, or from the mineral build up.Maybe if you use filtered water it wouldn’t be so bad. It’s an ok product for the price but I wouldn’t buy it again
