None of the keys work with lock!
I absolutely love the box great sturdy box, good size, But the lock and the keys do not work!! I seem to always get the lock box where there is always something wrong with the lock then you have to spent time trying to contact someone to replace because of course i want the box just not the hassle to send it back. Taking time out of out of my busy day to send it back, to wait a week to hopefully get one works. Mind you i am disabled so it is even a bigger deal and live in the boon docks.

Keeps Important Papers Safe and Organized
My hubby is the most disorganized creature to walk the earth! Anytime we need last year’s taxes, or pay stubs, or birth certificates, it is a mad dash through boxes of fru-fru, trying to gather what is needed. Well, that ends today with this beautiful, roomy, surprisingly sturdy lock-box, which can now accommodate everything from our marriage certificate to our passports to tax returns to the family jewels. Then it can be stored handily on a closet self or floor, or in the bottom of a drawer, or if one wants to get REAL kitchy, under the floor boards. Being fireproof, it is safe from that kind of damage. It is quite substantial, as mentioned previously, so if one’s evil nephew trying to break into it to peek at the Will’s contents, would have a rough go trying to break into it! The price was certainly reasonable and it was certainly more convenient than the 150 lb locked file cabinet that it replaced! Definitely a winner here!

Oversize lid.
The lid is too big. About a 3/16 inch gap all around the lid and box sides. This creates a weak box when closed and tilt to one side if resting on the end. Ebay metal boxes have the same problem.

It’s a nice lock box. Smaller so doesn’t hold a ton of things but would hold your most important documents I do believe. Returned because it was just big enough I couldn’t find anyplace to concur you keep it. It would fit under most beds though. Mine is really low. I don’t know how fire safe I think it is. Would be good to hold some medications if you want it for that. It could hold quite a few. Or other valuables maybe. Opens by key so don’t lose your key! It is portable. Easy to use. And good value for the money.

Holds letter size file folders
This fire box will hold letter size file folders, not just loose 8 1/2 x 11 papers! Based on the dimensions given, I was afraid they might not fit, but they do. Plenty of room for our important documents, thumb drives, etc. And the weight isn’t too heavy for me to handle easily.I would highly recommend it.

Fire safe for documents
It was delivered 6 days earlier than the original arrival date which was very much appreciated. The safe box was well packed and came it with no damage. The box size is perfect to store documents on standard letter-size and the key is working properly. However, it doesn’t looks like that much sturdiness comparing with other safe boxes and still too early to tell its durability.

Effortless to break into.
I bought this to store valuables. However, I was able to break into it in about 30 seconds using the claw-end of a hammer. I gently pried the lid open and then unlatched the key locking mechanism.

Lock Failure
The lock central cylinder got stuck in a position where it would not move. The key would not fit all the way down inton the circlular slot. Had to call a locksmith who eventually pryed the lid open.

Lock Broke in Less Than 3mo
Bought this for my mom to keep her things secure in the nursing home. One day it opened fine and the next day the key wouldn’t open it. She tipped it upside down and metal came out of the lock. Looks like little ball bearing inside the lock came dislodged. Had to have the lock drilled out and replaced. The box itself is otherwise sturdy.

Not good
What a piece of junk. The top does not fit, it is too large. The paint is off were the top touches it (they must close it when the paint is wet). The key lock goes into plastic & there seems to be broken plastic inside the box were it was just jammed shut. The top is also very loose when locked.Overall, I think the box is not worth the money.
