Solid and Well Built
The quality is very similar to those that I have had for 10 – 15 years. It is solid, well built and the key operates easily. It arrived undamaged, although I requested it be put in a Amazon shipping box rather than only in the box it came in. A minor design issue is that you are unable to take the key out of the lock when it is in an open position, it can only be removed when locked which probably makes sense for most situations.

I like that the key can stay in the lock so you don’t use it.
It holds everything I need to have in it. I got it mainly to keep kids away from meds. It’s surprisingly heavy. Not fancy, but it does what I wanted.

Really Nice!
This is really nice! It’s made very well, the black paint finish is shiny and very durable. The lock works perfectly and it comes with two keys. I read the dimensions, but I’m even happier seeing it in person. You can very easily fit flat 8 1/2 X 11 papers/folders in the box. Plenty of room! Like the handle placement. It did come with some dents in the sides, the shipping box and the box it came in were undamaged so I expect it happened at the factory. The paint doesn’t appear to be broken so it shouldn’t rust. Will probably order another one!

Perfect size, but don’t like the key
This fire safe box fits perfectly the shallow drawer it will reside and seems well constructed. The only thing I don’t like so much is that the key has to be wiggled and maneuvered to fit into the lock. Otherwise, a big thumbs up.

Roomy Locking Metal Storage Box for Valuables
This box steel is thick, durable, fireproof & comes with 2 keys.. This box is large enough to store important legal paperwork, yet sturdy and roomy enough to secure, store & hide away precious metals or Rx medications, etc. (but are not waterproof enough to bury items). I bought two because they are not flimsy, yet they’re more portable than standing cabinet home safes & can readily carry, hold & transport 20+ lbs. of contents weight.

Decent security box
For years I’ve used a very heavy fireproof box to store documents and valuables. I hate it because it’s so difficult to unlock — I have to sit on the top to get the cover to release! — and too heavy for me to move around. A determined burglar could probably carry the box off, no matter how heavy it is. I wanted something I could carry in an emergency. This box does the job. I doubt that it’s waterproof, but it’s the proper size to store documents and easy to lock and unlock. While it doesn’t weight 70 pounds it makes up for that by being small enough that I can hide it. I can’t do that with the old security box. For me this is a practical security alternative.
