Sturdy
Very useful. I was able to save an expensive chair. This metal was an upgrade over the plastic that it had.

Very easy to assemble
I liked how easy it was to assemble, at the moment I have zero complaints. I’m very happy with this purchase.

Strong but wiggle room.
This is made of very solid and strong material. There is no doubt that it will live up to its load requirements. But now I must order a replacement for the replacement in less than a month. Iâll likely move it to one of my other chairs but not my main one. There are three things I have a problem with. First, it does not hold the wheels tight. There some wiggle room there. Not much but if the wheels are aligned just right and you roll the chair suddenly you will end up on your knees. It happened a few times already. The second reason is that thereâs only one screw to hold each leg to base. Donât get me wrong, itâs plenty strong but the absence of another point means the leg wiggles laterally quite a bit. Itâs like eating salad with one chop stick instead of fork. Thirdly, the start is a bit on the smaller side with diameter. This may not be an issue with most chairs, but Iâm using it for a big chair. I find myself keeping one foot on the floor at all times for stability. Add this with the issue I mentioned about loose wheels and you can see why Iâm in the market for another base.

Solid construction
I recently replaced my old desk chair base with the Metal Desk Chair Base Replacement, and I couldn’t be happier! The sturdy construction provides exceptional stability and support, making my workspace feel more professional and secure. Installation was a breeze. It glides smoothly across my carpet. This replacement base has truly transformed my chair into a comfortable, reliable piece of furniture. Highly recommend it for anyone looking to upgrade their office experience!

My chair is wayyyy taller than expected now
Everything seems fine. Only have had it for about a day but the height on my chair feels as if I have it on the tallest setting because of the way the base is designed

Easy to install along with a separate set of wheels and separate cylinder. Nice and sturdy and arrived when promised.

This will outlast the chair
The item came packaged very well. Everything came in a box in a plastic sleeve that made everything fit perfect so it wouldnât get damaged. Every item in the package was individually sealed including the hardware. They even provided an extra hex bolt and the hex key. It went together easy.

This base made it possible to convert a super cozy lounge chair into an office chair!
I had to get a new chair because I got a new job working from home however, I am the emotional support human for the two most emotionally needy dogs in the whole world. It was a hellish week when I had my old chair and they couldnât be on my lap, I needed a chair big enough for me and two dogs comfortably. I found a lounge chair that was exactly the size and shape I needed plus had a single pedestal design, however it sat too low for a desk and did not come with wheels. I ordered a longer gas cylinder, 3 inch rollerblade wheels, and this base. With the wheels and this new base in place, I was able to return the longer gas cylinder because this base and the wheels added exactly the extra height needed. The original chair base was 30â wide and this one is only 28â. I bought this one because I couldnât find a 30â one and I worried that the lounge chair needed 30â to remain stable and not tip (especially when rocking) but I am happy to report that it was a nonissue and the three of us can rock and work all day.
