The size is counter intuitive
I’m accustomed to using heavy, transformer driven car chargers and maintainers, but this maintainer is small and light; weirdly.I am always mindful of the status of my vehicles and the things that keep them running correctly, including the expensive AGM batteries they require. I say that because of short trips, with a shutdown and startup, are very demanding on the battery’s’ amperage and ability to recharge, adequately. After short, or even moderate drives, I connect the Schumacher maintainer and forget about it. I have observed, that to fully recharge my battery after such trips, takes about 4-6 hours before the status light on the maintainer goes from orange(charge) to green(maintaining).I connect my maintainer via 25ft., extension cord. The manual gives instructions on the use of Ext. cords, so be sure to follow the ratings given.If there isn’t an internal battery failure of any kind, I get 10+ years of use from my car batteries. I don’t know the true longevity because I draw the line at 10 years, and replace the battery, regardless.My package showed up early, (Thanks Amazon) and has been connected and disconnected, to my cars battery, over a dozen times, without any issues.Now that modern batteries cost so much, make yours last.Manufacturers, actually advise a a monthly, to bi-monthly, recharge.I advise everyone to use a charger/maintainer.

A dependable charger
I have several motorcycles, tractors etc. on which to maintain batteries. I already had two of these, bought this third to be able to charge several batteries at once. Won’t overcharge, switches to maintenance mode when full charge is reached. This charges 6 and 12 volts, needed since I have an old 1955 Ferguson tractor around.

Excellent product for avoiding dead batteries
my Infinity M37x was badly designed, and the electrical system drains the batteries very quickly if the car isn’t driven daily and for lots of miles. After replacing the batteries every other year, I got this maintenance charger. I hook it up to the battery, which is simple, about once a week to prevent the battery from dying when I haven’t driven it in a week. It seems to work well.

No extension for semi permanent attachment.
See my photo above to know which cord I am speaking of. This semi permanent connector is supposed to be long enough to come out of the car (usually through the grill) for easy plug in. My mom can’t lift the hood on her own so this was perfect. I was surprised to find the chord is very very short. Less than a foot. Impossible to have outside of the car. When I called to see if I could buy an extension – parts was very condescending. I don’t normally write reviews but this one earned it. They don’t have extensions – no other third party company’s connects to it. And there you have it. I do not recommend this product or the company.

They work and are easy to use!
I have three vehicles and a 20 horse power lawn tractor that I use these on. I store one vehicle in a garage in the winter that I use 1 on another that we don’t use often in winter and my lawn tractor with a snow blower I use another on. If the batteries are low when I put them on they charge the the batteries and then maintain them until I need to use the vehicles. I live in the Midwest where it gets cold in the winter and these have never failed keep the batteries so they start my equipment in the coldest weather.

Fantastic charger!
I tried several different chargers for our solar battery system before I found this one and I couldn’t be happier. When we have cloudy days, we rely on our generator to charge our lithium batteries. What I love about this is there is an on toggle switch so we can keep the charger attached to our batteries and plugged in, and when we turn our generator on remotely, the charger automatically goes on and starts charging our batteries. It is a rapid charger and very efficient. I also love the fact that it will not overcharge our batteries.

Great, except for short clamp leads.
Small, light and super simple charger. Hook it up and it works fine. Using it to keep Sprinter van battery trickle charged and ready to go.Only complaint is the clamp leads which are OK for a normal battery, but too short for the Sprinter. I replaced the clamp leads to get the extra length needed.

I have used this make charger to effectively maintain my ATV battery for several years. Recently I acquired another ATV and purchased a second Schumacher charger for it. I also just bought two more Schumacher chargers to maintain the batteries on my John Deere tractors as I consider them the most reliable maintainer chargers on the market. I highly recommend this product.

nice size
Think it works pretty well. The clamps are a little small. sometimes difficult to get the clamp open enough to grasp the battery post.

Works great and I like the quick connect! I bought a couple extras and just leave them on the battery so don’t even have to bother with the alligator clips! Like the status light too! It’s automatic so you don’t have to worry about overcharging!

jury still out on operation of charger.
I purchased this to charge the battery in my motorcycle. it’s been flashing yellow (charging) for three days. It’s a new motorcycle. we are still holding on if it gets replaced with another make of charger.
