   This is a cute lock box for a low cost. It’s small in size but perfect for hiding money, credit cards, a little jewelry. It could work for photographs & keepsakes, as well. Of course, it could be stolen, but among family & friends, it should prove to stay safe in your home.I like the protection, even if it’s just from little hands or just keeping things safe & neatly stored.    Nice Inexpensive Lock Box

   This is a good inexpensive lock box. I hesitate to use the word “safe” because it is lightweight and I think a thief could breach the box with some effort. However, if this box is properly hidden and properly anchored I think it would be beneficial to help protect the owners valuables.Likes:- Small enough to be easily hidden. Thieves are usually looking for quick targets and being able to easily conceal this is a plus.- The box is big enough to secure medium frame semi-automatic pistols from unauthorized access by children. The box will hold a Glock 19 sized pistol, more than one if you wanted to stack them. It might hold a full sized pistol if it was positioned at an angle in the box.Dislikes:- Note in the picture that mine did come with one spot of missing paint. That isn’t a big issue for my use.Note – The description in the ad says to take note to the small size. I did that and have no complaints about the size for holding my items. One dimension to be sure to understand is that the door measures about 2″ wide and that will take up some of the depth of the box.This is an inexpensive way to secure items. It comes with mounting hardware and if bolted in place and well hidden I think users will have some peace of mind. Also, as mentioned above, it is a good way to keep pew pews out of little hands.

   Nice little lock box

   This is nice. Its great for a kid or in a secure place. It would be easy enough to just steal at its small size. It would be pretty easy to break into, but would be a deterrent to 99% of the population. I got it as a keepsake box for my daughter, and for that it will do just fine.

   Small,compact and useful

   I really like this money box, as it’s fairly small and compact and doesn’t take up a lot of room. It’s easy to carry, thanks to the handle, and it locks easily to secure any money or documents. I like the top change part, as everything is easy to access. The bills easily fit under the change drawer and things like passports. It’s pretty sturdy and will work well for when I host yardsales!

    Solid option

    This small locking box is what I needed to do some events and to be able keep my bills and coins locked away. It is small enough to be portable and sturdy. The tray that sits on top helps keep things separated especially when moving fast. I use it to gel as I’m counting coins.

    Product switched (and didn’t work at first)

    Okay, so… I want to be very clear that the product that I received for review is a tiny little 0.23 cu ft safe, but at that time of this writing that’s no longer an option listed on this product page – which presently shows only much larger and more expensive options. So I’m reviewing a product that may or may not have any resemblance to the one that you’re currently considering buying. These are my thoughts on the cheap little twenty-dollar product, not its larger siblings. Water bottle shown for scale in the attached photo.For whatever it’s worth, though, the product I’m reviewing is okay for a small, simple, low-cost safe. There are plastic components to it, but as far as I can tell all the critical parts are metal. If you went at it with enough brute force, I’m sure you could pry it open, and for that matter I imagine the mechanical backup lock could probably be picked by a sufficiently motivated individual with relevant experience. But if I were staying in a hotel and found this safe provided in my room then I wouldn’t be offended at any glaring lack of security. (I don’t imagine you’d actually want to use this in such a setting, though, only because letting a customer set their unlock code involves them going into the battery compartment and they might decide to steal the batteries.)I have two main gripes: (1) the product listing said this thing was fireproof, but there are two sets of mounting holes that go right through the outer wall to the inside compartment – am I really to believe that fire won’t pass through those holes? Maybe it would mostly prevent direct contact with flames but “fireproof” seems like an exaggeration. And (2) as originally received, the product didn’t work. It wouldn’t lock. Inside the safe, there’s a plastic housing covering the lock mechanism that is held on with two screws. Upon removing that, I found various wires that can jam the spring-loaded locking mechanism and had to secure them with tape to get it to work. Not a huge feat of engineering prowess on my part, but it took me a while to figure that out.Also, it comes with expansion bolts – which are lovely if you’re installing on top of concrete (and actually have a drill bit that can bore through concrete) but aren’t very useful if you’re a typical homeowner trying to secure this thing somewhere in your bedroom. And you’re obviously not going to be able to screw into a stud at both holes because they’re much closer together than a standard stud spacing. So securing this thing is not trivial.So for basic security I think it’s okay-ish but I wouldn’t put a lot of faith in its protection against fire. Maybe if you put your sensitive documents inside a “fireproof” envelope (which aren’t really fireproof either) and then put the envelope inside the safe then you might have some basic level of protection but this thing is so small that you’d be hard pressed to fit a standard document-size envelope inside. And, really, if fire is the concern then I wonder if locking up your papers might just impede grabbing them and running in the event of a fire, leaving them to burn.

    Just like safe deposit box in many hotels; unbeatable deal

    Wow…. both my husband and I were surprised by how well-built this safe deposit box is considering how inexpensive it is. I had to check the price several times to make sure I looked at the right one. This box is heavy and just like the one that we have seen in many hotels during our trips in the past.Due to its small size, this must be secured to the wall or cabinet, and this box comes with the two heavy duty screws. All my husband needed to do to set up the security code was putting four AA batteries and following the instruction. We really like our personal safe deposit box. This is truly an unbeatable deal.

    I’m impressed with the quality of this affordable little safe. I installed it in the back of my closet. I don’t want to give the impression it would handle being attacked with a sledgehammer, but it will keep your kids away and/or prying family. I upgraded it with a small magnetic motion light at the top, and a small piece of door foam to keep it from rattling.

    Nice LITTLE safe!

    It’s quite small, but built strong. I wouldn’t trust the mounting hardware it comes with to widthstand much, but the safe itself is a nice piece of security. Smooth in operation and all the functions work as they should. For only $19.99 (at the time of this review) I’m not sure you can do any better, but surely that was some introductory price to attract people like me…

    Includes Anchor Bolts for Secure Mounting

    I like the small size of this safe because it allows my to conceal its location easier than a larger safe. The case itself has mounting holes and includes anchor bolts. The black paint is slippery and difficult to grip, which is preferable since it makes it harder to pull it out of a wall or floor using just your hands. It comes with an option to either access via digital key pad or a physical key.

    Actually really nice

    This safe isn’t made to be compared to a bank safe but it is quite strong and extremely useful. It’s made of thick metal that’s durable enough to withstand anyone trying to break inside it for a little while. It does have actual solid poles that slide into place to lock the door like a bank has. There are plastic components but nothing that would make this lock less strong. It has anti pry capabilities with the recessed door. Overall I would definitely recommend this for anyone wanting to keep nosey eyes out of stuff.

    Decent at Best

    If you’re looking for a cheap safe, which doesn’t require a ton of legitimate safety features, this is an okay option. The major issues are that the partially plastic design is unsecure (can be broken into, and the pieces aren’t tightly secured), it requires 4 AA batteries (but comes with none), unless you’re securing it to a wall the rear will have 2 open holes in it (which makes it the opposite of fireproof, and water could easily be poured into the safe), only 1 of the 3 lights ever turns on, the “alarm” is just 20-seconds of very quiet beeps happening every few seconds, and the design is thin enough that cutting into it wouldn’t be an issue.I do like that it comes with emergency keys, that you can set your passcode anywhere between 3-8 digits, that there’s an interior mat included, that the hanging kit is included, that it’s not overly large, that it operates quietly, that it isn’t an eyesore, and that the price point feels fair. But I couldn’t recommend this to the majority of people who are seeking a secure safe, because this ain’t that. What you’re getting is a small layer of security; a place to house minor items, or keys to a more secure safe.

    A simple, cheap lock box

    This is about the same level of security that you’d find in a cheap motel safe. The door might resist prying, but you could cut through any of the walls with a cutting wheel in seconds. The emergency key also looks like something that could be picked or forced easily. The keypad is a membrane touchpad, which is a negative for me from a durability and reliability standpoint.It is small (only 0.23 cubic feet), so easily hidden at least. It might also work for a gun safe, if the gun was small.I think it’s a reasonable price for what it is, just don’t have high expectations.

    Small and easy to use safe

    This safe is quite small but it was exactly what I was looking for. Since it is so small it needs to be anchored so the safe itself can’t just be stolen. The safe comes with the anchors you need as well as some lining to protect your valuables from the metal interior of the safe. The safe is quite light but has two relatively large bolts so it should be pretty secure. The emergency keys are useful to keep in an easily accessible area that only you know about in case you forget your code.

    Secure, sleek, and well thought-out

    I have some folding knives that I wanted to keep locked up, so I picked this up to provide a safe space for them to keep them out of reach and hidden.     I bought this specifically to keep in a larger safe and it’s so handy just to be able to yank this out without rifling through everything else and the fact that it has its own key is a nice little bonus. For the price point you really can’t beat this !!!This would be also great for children to learn start saving money but like I said for my purpose of keeping it within a larger safe is just perfect !!!!!It’s not flimsy tin has a real nice finish and the key mechanism works fantastic again for the price you can’t beat it !!!

    Sturdy little lock box!

    This locking cash box/lock box was just what I needed for my craft sales. It comes well packages and the two keys are inside.I put a dime and a clothes pin inside to reference size. If you tip the box you will end up with everything mixed up (I tested this.) however it would make a great garage sale box.The inner tray is removable so you can store bills, cell phone or whatever below (it fit my 3X6 inch phone no problem, with the tray on top.)This is lightweight so easy to carry around, and not large.Looking forward to using it at my next craft sale.

    This is a nice, simple and small safe for things like keys, wallets, jewelry, coins, cash, and things like these. It’s not heavy and locks securely. The instructions were simple and clear and the safe did everything it is designed to do.My one critique is the the door is slightly off which I point out in the video. It doesn’t hinder performance, however, the door of a safe, of all things, needs to be right and I have slightly less confidence in it because of that.

    Sturdy Little Box. Somewhat secure

    This lockbox is basically what it says it is. It is a solid little box with a latch key that loops into the receptacle, making it harder to just pull apart. The back hinges, however, are pretty bendable, so I can see myself able to pry the back end open with a five-point tool without too much effort. All that being said, it would make a great cash box if you are selling at a fair or a farmers market.

    This little lock box is an excellent size for our purpose. We got it to keep the kids’ money in when they have larger amounts of money. This way, we can put their money in an envelope with their name on it and keep is separate and safe. The key worked perfectly first time. The box is substantially built. Well worth $9

    For my small business.

    I have a small business making jewelry that I then sell at craft fairs, local farmers markets and other events. This cash box is a much easier size to carry around to the different places where I sell. Although it is smaller than the standard cash box, this is heavy for it’s size, well made and very sturdy. The instant you pick it up you can feel the quality of this cash box. I am very happy with this product, and highly recommend it.

    Nice cash box

    This was perfect for my yard sale. It is so much easier having a cash box then using your pocket or somewhere else. It is very easy to give change with the coin holder. I found it best to get 1 roll of all coins to start with and to break down $100 bill to $1’s, $5’s and $10’s. This little cash box would also be great when it comes time for girl scout cookies sales. Worth buying!!

    I was surprised when I got this lock box… it was a lot sturdier than I expected. It comes with a cash tray, but that’s easily removable if you want to use the box for storage. There are two keys, but you don’t need one if it stays unlocked. It’s a great little cashbox for an event, or a locked storage box for special treats.

    Just what i needed

    This is a perfect little petty cash box. It doesn’t hold much, but it’s just what I needed. The size fits perfectly in the bottom of my desk drawer, and of course it locks which is great, because you just never know. Overall it seems very very made. No, I haven’t had it very long. I don’t for see there being any issues with it opening and closing or locking or unlocking. It’s not the kind of thing im using every single day. If you’re a vendor and you wanna have cash on hand at events, I would definitely not order this just because it is a smaller size and doesn’t hold much
