My daughter needs a daily dose of MiraLAX, and this generic brand is perfect. There is no discernible difference in taste or how quickly it dissolves when compared to MiraLAX. The price difference makes the Amazon Basics brand a substantially better value.

Having used these type products daily for years now I can attest there is zero difference between the big brand name and these store brands. None whatsoever. The only thing that changes is you don’t have the pour restrictor in the bottle opening which while nice is not worth $10.

Exactly the same as brand name
Did you think they made this stuff in a shack in the woods ? No, it is just like gasoline – goes into a big tank and then gets a brand name slapped on it. Sure, each big manufacturer may have their own tank and share it off with the big drug stores and pharma houses but it is all the same. You do not think they make that much of it ? Well every GI doc has their senior citizens on it, and a lot of boomers just take it on their own. Check how many boomers there are, not to mention the younger folks who believe the social media people who foist the lie they need a daily BM. Tastes the same, dissolves the same even comes in the same bottle with the same cap.

Good on a budget
It works well enough, but the name brand works so well. I would rather just pay a little more for consistent results. Background info: I have needed to use the name brand for a year for some complications from pregnancy, but switched to this to try out. It was worth the try, but won’t repurchase.

Surgery prep & maintenance
The best stool softener for my body thus far. They offer an unflavored option which is my ONLY choice. I stir this in with my hot cocoa and, down the hatch! Works wonders. It doesn’t clump and it dissolves quickly. After I had a couple of surgeries, this is what I used daily until I no longer took pain meds and my body’s waste elimination cycle was back on track! I am frequent, 3- 5 bm per day and want to remain that way. ☺️Smooth sailing!
