Great fan! hard to open to clean if you don’t know how

After a few months with this fan, I can say that I like the different speeds. If it’s on uneven surface, be aware that it will be noisy. I had no idea how to open it to clean it. The product directions say to “vacuum clean it” which made me wonder what type of vacuum are they referring too? However, another reviewer mentioned a tiny screw needing a long screwdriver. Unbeknownst to me, it in fact had a tiny screw back of the fan at the bottom. I couldn’t figure out how to open it still, so I used a flat head screwdriver to pop the levers off. Only till I had to assemble it, did I realize why there were arrows on the top of the fan. Twist the entire front of the fan to the left and it pops off. Why this isn’t on the manual? I have no idea.

   This fan changed my life!

It may sound silly, but this fan was truly a game changer for me! My bathroom has an east-facing window. Since I live in Phoenix, Arizona, that means it gets HOT in the summer even with the AC on. Taking a shower had become torture. Between the heat from the window and the humidity from the shower, I was dripping with sweat 30 seconds after I toweled off. Staying long enough to do my hair and makeup was a test of endurance. I tried cool showers and keeping the bathroom door open, but it was still grueling. I had a little box fan, but it didn’t do much. Then I tried this fan. What a difference!!! Even on the lowest setting, this little fan moves a ton of air! The adjustable tilt lets me point it wherever I need it most. The fan stays firmly on my bathroom counter instead of trying to vibrate off like my old box fan, and stows easily under the sink when I’m done. No more torturous showers! With this fan, I’m sweat-free and cool as a happy cucumber!

pretty powerful fan and great price

it took me forever to decide on the right fan to buy because 1) i’m very cheap and 2) i wanted to make a very conscious decision but i am very content with this fan! i am in menopause and suffer from terrible night sweats and this fan works very well. it reaches pretty far too. i like it pointed right at my face and it works extremely well and the noise of the fan works as white noise so that’s also a great thing. i highly recommend this fan for us menopausal women!

Great little fans for a little house

I purchased two of these fans for my kids after seeing one at my workplace. It’s a strong little fan. We recently bought a house that is very small compared to our previous house and it also has long floor to ceiling windows that are casement windows that you crank the handle to swing open. So, no way to place an ac or fan in the window. These little fans were great to use for sleeping for some very hot summer days. You need to have the fan aimed at you as it is small. It can’t be all the way across the room. They are powerful and really move air. We are all signed up for mini split instillation now, thankfully, but these fans may still be useful for circulating air. I recommend them for price and efficiency in a small size.

A Whirlwind Year with the Amazon Basics 3 Speed Small Room Air Circulator Fan

In the realm of household gadgets that genuinely surprise and delight, the Amazon Basics 3 Speed Small Room Air Circulator Fan stands out like a beacon of efficiency and value. From the moment I integrated this little titan into my home, it was clear that it punched way above its weight class. Here’s a whirlwind tour of my year-long experience with what can only be described as the little fan that could.A Silent Powerhouse:Initially, the fan impressed with its whisper-quiet operation. It’s not often that you come across a device that moves air with the ferocity of a hurricane while maintaining the discretion of a cat burglar. The build quality felt robust, belying its surprisingly low price point. Its integration into my smart home setup was seamless, dutifully turning on at 10 pm and off at 7 am, five days a week, without a hitch. The 12-month warranty didn’t concern me; this fan felt like it was built to last.A Sudden Turn:However, as the 13-month mark rolled around, my once silent night-time companion started to change its tune. A slight noise emerged, transforming the fan’s soothing white noise into a slightly harsher soundtrack for my nights. Over the next month, this crescendoed into a sound that was reminiscent of the hurricane-force winds it was famed for producing. One night, the noise escalated to the point of waking me. Approaching the fan, I was met with an unexpected wave of heat emanating from the device. The warmth was surprising, especially when it radiated through the control knob. Clearly, something inside was amiss, but with no ambitions of becoming a fan technician and the product’s low cost, I leaned towards replacement rather than repair.Final Thoughts:While it’s disappointing to see such a stellar performer bow out after just over a year, it’s hard to be too downhearted. Given its cost, the fan provided exceptional value, and I’d argue it’s well worth the annual replacement if necessary. This isn’t a fan for those seeking a decade-long companion, but if you’re in the market for an affordable, powerful, and quiet air circulator for the short term, this is an unbeatable choice. In conclusion, the Amazon Basics 3 Speed Small Room Air Circulator Fan is a 5-star performer for 12 months. It delivers impressively on its promises, with the only caveat being its longevity. For those who don’t mind the prospect of an annual replacement, this fan will not disappoint. It’s a reminder that sometimes, the little things can make a big difference, even if just for a year.

   I’m a Fan of this.

This Amazon basics fan (the larger size) was both low cost and functional. At low speed, it is nearly silent, yet still moves enough air that I can feel it from across the room. Highest speed, well, moves a ton of air, but, of course, at the cost of the greater sound of pushing all that air. It does not oscillate, but I knew that going in. It does have snap to adjustable height settings (5 in all) from horizontal to vertical. There is a built in slot at the top that serves as a handle, but it is not very deep.
