Works like it’s supposed to
I got poison ivy really badly on the back of my leg. I thought I could deal with the itching but it started to keep me up at night. I purchased this calamine lotion and it worked like it’s supposed to. It helped with the itching which helped me get some sleep. It’s also been helpful to use when my kids get mosquito bites.

As expected, eliminates itch
Bought this for poison ivy and mosquito bites. It stops the itch and seems to dry out the bites quickly. Multiple applications are needed for poison ivy but any product needs to be put on this problem constantly.

LIke Water, Does Not Work
Read the reviews and one person said just need to shake it well, so I bought this one. I’ve been searching for a thick Calamine Lotion that stays on the skin. I have old Walgreens brand, from years back, now almost out, need more. I’ve tried Walmart, CVS, Walgreens, Amazon, Etc., can’t find any that are thick anymore. What happened to the Calamine Lotion Industry. I feel like an expert on this subject now after weeks of research and money spent on various brands to test, none work, all are like water and roll of the skin. Amazon Brand, NO AMOUNT OF SHAKING THE BOTTLE WILL MAKE IT ANY THICKER. Runs off the skin like water. Horrible!! Still looking for a good thick Calamine Lotion. It’s definitely not this one.

Sealed and essentially scented
Felt compelled to write a review as a few I read mentioned concern over lack of seal. I ordered late June 2020. The bottle came enclosed in a plastic bag. There was a piece of tape across the lid to help keep it from opening (similar to tamper evident seals used in pharmacies). Finally, the lid had to be unscrewed to remove a seal on the bottle, which was rather persistent. So I have no concern for adulteration. Of course the question of “what’s in it?” is truly always unknown to some degree so I don’t really get those other folks’ comments. There’s minimal fragrance really. There is camphor, oil of lavender and oil of rosemary, so there is a scent which is pleasant and I would consider these therapeutic as well. Fortunately my itchiness has subsided mostly, so I cannot rate efficacy, but the value was certainly great relative to comparable products. Applied easily and comfortably, not runny.
